1. Hey Matt, is it possible that Fields wants to test the waters and not resign with the Steelers? I mean the Jets, Giants, Saints, Raiders, Titans etc are all looking for a Qb to fill a spot.

   Rams are not moving Stafford imo. They are closer to being really good than say the Steelers.

8. I would MUCH rather just roll with Fields than trade draft capital for someone like Geno, or to bring in 42 year old Aaron Rodgers for 40 million a year. Those options don’t appeal to me. Just roll the dice with Fields, he was having some success last year, he could still have untapped upside, and then see if anyone is available in the next 2 drafts. Trading for these older QB’s doesn’t appeal to me, even Stafford

9. I would take smith for sure over what we have now. He also wouldn't be as expensive as you think. If he's avaliable steelers should take a good look at him

10. No matter what name is said, Steelers fans will say he's not good enough, despite not even having a quarterback under contract. Stafford is the player I like the best. He or Geno Smith would be excellent bridge qb. The biggest problem is that Tomlin remains the head coach.

12. With our still developing young offensive line I think a quarterback that can run well would be the best choice. Somebody like Justin Fields. The Steelers need to get Fields signed. I think you are right about Geno.

13. It's understandable that all the talk is about the QB situation for the Steelers. The reality is that the Steelers need to fix a few other positions with greater urgency, as long as they keep Justin Fields. That situation will give them a better shot at making the team more competitive. Besides, Fields has as much up-side as any QB mentioned.

20. I'm happy Darnold finally had a good year as a pro, but he doesn't work in just any offense. That's a flaw in most of these guys. Sign Fields, Draft a guy to be Landry Jones. Settle that department down. Hard to judge how ugly we really are when we keep changing hats. ❤️🔥🍻

22. When it comes to Darnold I really think Justin Jefferson is that good that he can make mediocre QBs look good when they force feed him the ball. And I do like George but I will never say George is anywhere as good of an all around receiver as JJ.

23. Matt I was really surprised you didn't mention Joe Milton as a cheap trade option, he has all the tools, kinda seems like a Arthur Smith qb , young Smith could develop him his way .

25. I'd much rather just roll with Fields at this point. If he works out, he works out. If not, then the Steelers will be in position to draft a guy next year and it's a much better QB class next year anyway.

26. Fields needs to go. He should have never been brought in in the first place. How many bad years do you need to see to call it?

27. Would Rodgers be on the same kind of deal as Wilson last year or Cousins this coming year? I don't see his ego letting him sign that contract unless he is confident he can win there.

29. If there's not a clear and obvious upgrade at the position, then all we're really doing is looking for a decent backup to what should be Fields at this point.

31. Just sign Fields and draft Kyle McCord in the second round to develop him. People are really sleeping on that kid because of how he exited Ohio State. He's athletic enough that Syracuse ran plays with him running the ball, has solid accuracy and the strongest arm in this QB class, quietly topping velocity and spin rates for this group. Some team is going to look smart down the line for drafting him, especially because he won't be a first rounder.

32. All these fields is the way to go are so delusional 😂 the only 2 options we have is Matt Stafford or Sam Darnold . Unless we’re gunna tank we go with fields . Stafford is elite but idk how the line will protect him and he’s older . Darnold showed us what he can do if you give him real receivers he went 14-3 so he can be are answer since we’re already rumored to be bringing in top receivers this season

42. Sam needs a solid offensive line to give him time to process. We simply do not have that.

    This team is just spinning its tires. And finally, more fans see this now.
    But remember how many starting QB’s the Lions went through or the Browns went through? Pretty soon the new drinking game will be trying to list all the QB’s the Steelers have gone through.5 since Ben already.

46. There’s no reason to go with anti other QB this offseason other than Fields. Yes we can take a shot in the draft in a later rounds. Next years QB class projected to be much better
