I asked Jesper Bratt what he thinks of 10-minute 3-v-3 overtime: “It’s definitely hard to play, but time and space, I’ll never say no to that!” More from the #NJDevils  Swedish forward in the post-game notebook:

  1. I think the NHL should adapt the same points scoring. 3 points for a win, 2 for OT win, 1 for OT loss and 0 for regulation loss. 10 min 3 v 3 is wild tho lol

  2. Either way 5mins of 3v3 is not nearly enough time even if Devils have had only 20% of their OT games go to shoots outs.

10min would be great, but even 7 minutes (like the ECHL) would be a nice improvement. Watching that extended OT last night was fantastic.

  3. 10 minute overtime, should just be permanent overtime, until a team scores, get rid of the shoot out and let players play, 3-3.

If they start getting tired roll out more lines, and not just your best players. Bratt is right here.
