Put him on a contender and he’d be compared to Quinn more often than not
He’s been getting absolutely panned in every /hockey comment thread…I call it the Sabres Effect
I mean, I was not too familiar with his game, but we only play you guys like twice a year so it is hard to really know how good they are with that sample size. I enjoyed him bodying McDavid and it seemed like he really shut him down later in the game
There’s a lot of fans who just look at numbers and draw their conclusions from them. There’s so much more that goes into it than just goals, assists and a +-. Being on a chronically underachieving team forces the better players we’ve had in the past to readjust their game to play here. If he was traded to a contender he’d immediately jolt to the top of the Norris conversation every year.
Where’s all my candy-ass Dahlin doubters now?
