  1. There is a Quarterback Who was a College Backup @ Alabama behind Tua & a Low 2nd Round Draft Pick. So Eagles make Him the Starter , liking His Skill Set > He could Run & Throw using the RPO Offense . Then the Eagles Help Him > Put Him behind a Huge, Productive O Line , & Trade for a All Pro Wide Receiver , AJ Brown , & on Top of that They Sign the Best Running Back in Football, Saquan Barkley .
So That is What a Super Bowl Winner does with a Quarterback whose Skill Set is > can Run & has a Strong Arm.
    Just Develop Him . ✊

  2. Should have signed him already. They just love pissing guys off. Put yourself in his shoes. It’s a qb needy offseason for teams, and a trash free agency class. They are going to lose both of these guys, by not choosing either. Should have traded Russ at the trade deadline last year and saved the fan base all of this stupidness. We’d know one way or the other if we needed a qb, but nope, they walked the tightrope and now they are stuck on it

  3. Hey DK!! Thank you for bringing us all of your insights and information that we normally would not be able to have access to! I Listen to all of your shows everyday.

    My Questions:
1)Is it possibly that our quarterback issue is that we don't have anyone in house to develop them? I heard you mention Mich, and how another team worked with him. Maybe our QB position coach is not effective?
    2) I have the same question in regards to our O-line, and RB position coaches.

Thank you again for all of your work!

    Have a great day!!

    V/R,
    John

  4. Well said DK! I hope the Steelers don't screw this up, I do believe Justin Fields can be just as good as Lamar Jackson, Jalen Hurts with time and good coaching.

  5. At the beginning of 2024 season I wasn't so excited to hear Russell Wilson was coming to our team. I knew he would be decent at the very least. But I was really excited about Justin Fields coming to our team. Now looking back I wish Russ never came to Pittsburgh.

  6. DK, I agree we should be able to get a deal done that's fair for the player and the team, but 2 things got me worried a little bit, 1) why on gods green earth would his agent let him sign ANYTHING before hitting the market after watching 2 mobile QBs in the SB and 2) the Steelers did bench him and although he handled that like a pro, that may end up being a factor! Nice photo also! See ya later for the Double Shot 😎

  7. Signing Fields could be a place holder for the Steelers while they look for their franchise quarterback. There's more upside with Fields than Wilson. And yes it is a risk but less than drafting Pickett in the1st round.

  8. Justin showed significant improvement this year, he lead a 4-2 start, and not to mention all that talent and youth! If I were fields, I would definitely go test the market… if the Steelers are unable to retain him, it will be a huge missed opportunity.

  9. Either sign Fields for 4-5 years, or don't sign him at all. Because if you sign him for 1 year, and he balls out, like DK said, the price will skyrocket. The Steelers have an opportunity to sign him right now at an affordable price (relatively speaking). Either fully embrace him, or don't.

  10. I've been bleeding black and gold for 40 years. Can't we all stop blaming Tomlin for not providing a Michelin star dinner on a public assistance budget ? Compare his record to any coach with comparable draft picks and lack of funding.. You can't. He's the only coach stuck in the middle for almost 2 decades. We had the guys with the killer B's and injuries killed us.

  11. One year! Should have signed his 5th year option so we would not be in this mess and could be working on an extension now instead of worrying about not having a starting QB and what it will cost because of having no leverage

  12. With Tomlin coming back. This is the 1st off season where I really don't care what the team does. Same crap upcoming in 2025. Yay.😖

  13. hey dk this is why i ask my question about field hitting the free agency!! 25 someone is ready to pay him over 15M a year please get back to me. yes this is his best place!!!! but as a agent there job is to get him the best money. if get can get paid north of 15 he’s not gonna lose his job even ona bad team

  14. I like the Steelers, and I like Fields. Part of me wants to see him back with the Steelers, and part of me doesn't. Great franchise but terrible fans. We'll see how it all plays out.
