Zak Brown and Kopi are actually friends. Brown came to a game in November while F1 was in Vegas and in a Drive to Survive episode, Brown is shown playing hockey. Iirc, Brown is also how the Kings got a signed Norris helmet which they used in the first half of the season as the player of the game award after wins.
