High payrolls are good for the game if everyone could have them
I think it’s good for the game to have higher payrolls. The main issue is others aren’t willing to do the same.

A salary cap wouldn’t benefit the Giants because when the A’s move to Vegas the Giants will become the biggest revenue producer surpassing both the Dodgers and Yankees. It sucks right now but starting in 2028 the Giants owners will be out of excuses for not spending.

Players getting paid more is great. Competitive imbalance is not great.
If it forces other teams to raise payroll it is good for the game. The Giants and Padres did not do that this year.
