Dylan Larkin almost feels like the winner of this whole thing. Played really well, but has gotten an insane amount of credit and attention. Media and fans and others that hadn’t before have been praising him for talent and leadership, etc…
Went from 4th line winger to 1st line center, and was leading the team out between periods at the end. He made an incredible impact
Dylan Larkin wouldn’t have left McDavid wide open in the slot.
I never want to hear “Dylan Larkin isn’t a 1C on a playoff team” ever again.
Sorry buds, defence > defense
Feeling bad for Larks today. He hasn’t won anything, I just wanted a win for him
What a great experience that tourney was. The banter has been top fucking notch and the pettiness off the charts with all the booing and nonsense. Just great content.
A couple thoughts from last night. M. Tkachuk, I get it you’re being tough and wanted to play, but from the puck drop you looked hurt. Sometimes leading isn’t being tough, but sacrificing. Him not playing for 2 periods and OT while the 6th leading goal scorer in the world sits in the press box did not help your team win. Guerin and Sullivan, you have the pick of the entire country and yet you can’t make 4 trustworthy lines? Basically playing 10-6 for the entire game is insanity given the pick of the litter.
Kyle Connor being healthy scratched last night was certainly a decision. Scratched him for Kreider, who was essentially stapled to the bench all game. Just an absolutely insane choice.
We’re almost back to glorious Red Wing hockey with Ken and Mickey on Sunday. So close!
Had a great time having a few beers with a friend at a bar while watching the game last night. Sad USA lost, but it was a great series. Back to Red Wings hockey!🏒 🪽
Those 4 Nation’s Champion players hats were so ugly.
Team USAs big guns ran dry, Connor, Matthews
The Olympic Games next year will be insane. Fingers crossed for there to be minimal injuries for the top players.
I saw a lot of people who said they wanted Canada to win because they’re ashamed of the USA, and I get that for sure. I know no one asked my opinion on it, but I think that if the fascist shitheads are the only ones who feel empowered to wave the flag and root for their country, then we’ve already kinda lost. That flag belongs to all 340 million Americans, not just the nationalist chodes drooling all over their keyboards.
All I want for this spring is Larkin in the playoffs. He’s such a delight to watch when the intensity gets ramped up a notch.
That tournament was way more fun than i expected. Ready for some Ken and Mick banter tho. Any word on our guy Ken Daniels? Hopefully all back to full health?

Playing the last of us and maybe this should be Utah’s name
As a Canadian, sorry, as a Canadian, WOOOOOO
As an American living in Canada, I have to say last night was an intense experience. Even the dialogue online seemed like a Stanley Cup final in terms of passion. I’m really proud of how Dylan Larkin played. Now it’s time for me to pick out my mildly flirtatious Friday outfit, grab some coffee, and head to work. Have a great day guys
I better hear a loud and proud “Dyl-an Lark-in” chant tomorrow from the LCA.
Don’t watch much hockey besides Wings so this was a nice chance to see some other players. I’ve concluded I want Guentzel, Slavin and Hellebyuck in Detroit. Get it done Stevie.
Gg’s American wings fans. Great Tourney and great games between our countries. Saturday we unite again!
This was a preview for the Olympics and the world cup. USA finally looks like they can compete again, and hearing them talk positive about Larkin being underrated was the biggest win for me.
Grumpy boomer take– the game last night started way too late. It was supposed to start at 8 PM, already late enough, but the game didn’t begin until almost 8:30.
Ok I talked about the game now it’s time to pay up on a bet. Being an American living in Canada…I feel like I won and lost at the same time. Before I get dressed for work give me some ideas as to what sub I should post my pic on. Thanks! 🙂
I still can’t get over Slavin’s Zetterberg esque stick tie up with Crosby in front of the net to prevent a scoring chance. What a player.
Can us Canadians agree that the US roster was deeper than ours? On paper, it’s one of the best rosters I’ve ever seen.
Canadian team winning a cup, or a US team winning a men’s best on best tourney. What do you guys think happens first?
we’re so close to red wings hockey
Another note on that tournament from a Red Wings’ perspective: truly incredible to have a #1 Center who so obviously thrives in high tempo chaotic situations, and the coach decides what we have to play is the slowest, lowest event hockey possible.
What an absolute waste of everyone’s time the first part of our season was…
How many points do you think the Red Wings will need over the final stretch to make the playoffs? My guess is 32/34.
Did anyone else notice that not only did Canada beat the US in the US, but the Canadiens goal horn marked the OT game winner in Boston TD Garden lmao
