For the uninformed: this is what happens when the supposed accuracy, pocket awareness, and veteran leadership meets the unathlecticism of QB that just won’t quit, until he is benched.

2016 Matt Ryan could be in the discussion. But Colts Matt Ryan? LOL.
Also Matt Ryan isn’t even 40 yet… damn.
Still can’t believe they thought he was somehow going to be better in 2022 than he was in 2021.
“Best QB since Luck” they (the local media and Colts Twitter loons) told us, even though Ryan was clearly toast.
The media/PR cycle around Ryan and the team during that summer is amusing to think about in retrospect.
Fans were hearing from every angle (players, staff, front office, etc.) about how good Ryan was looking and how he was going to be just what we needed at the position after the Carson Wentz experience.
And then Week 1 in Houston happened…and right then you knew that things were not going to be as they hoped.
Still so salty we got this bum instead of Mayfield at the time.
