If you love an edge at 10 in this draft you are about to blow your draft pick. Abdul carter is the only edge who should be getting picked in the top 10 in this class. Everyone else is a reach
When you have to start your evaluation with “when healthy”, that’s a full stop right there. Don’t sign pre-injured guys. Don’t draft pre-injured guys. Injuries are part of the game and unavoidable, but you shouldn’t actively onboard injuries, either.
Absolutely go OL in Free Agrncy first. Absolutely agree with Braggs on Center first! Also Defense Line has a much higher history of early success coming out of draft VS OL which usually takes a year or 2 to be a valued starter.
Trey Smith is avg in pass protection but when healthy then Ronnie STanley is a top 5 LT and one of the best pass protection
Drew Dalman is horrible in pass protection though
If the bears can pull off three O-linemen in FA the possibilities in the draft will be endless
Carmen's free agency Wishlist screams 4-13, lets just sign chase claypool.

I'm also very interested in Evan Brown being our Center. Durable, ascending grades and he knows Ben Johnson's offense.
We def need two top tier offensive lineman for free agency but I also want us to draft a center with that first pick! I know there are some folks who will disagree but we really need a young generational talent at center badly! What we should do on defense is do everything in our power to get Micah Parsons and maybe bring in a free agent corner, safety or defensive tackle. Offense line has to be the priority regardless.

Pro Bowler Kelly at Center and Young at LE are plausible. But PFF does not rate Becton high and like Jenkins he had injury issues. Why pay $20mil for him?

i'd never pay 25M for a guard. just draft a couple of guards in r2 and r3. its not that hard.
I rather take belton he young and cheaper and plays both guard and tackle if need be then and sign dalman.
