The Tigers have signed LHP Andrew Chafin to a Minor League contract. He will join Major League spring training as a non-roster invitee.

  1. Even if he doesn’t make the team, sending him to Toledo just means he’s literally closer to home.

  2. He’s been pretty good while pitching with Detroit and pretty bad pitching with anyone else over the past 3 years. Hopefully we get more of the good

  3. Prolly could use another lefty arm for sure. If I’m not mistaken we only have three right now with Holton, Guenther, and Hurter.

  4. I’m surprised he couldn’t find a major league contract but I had a feeling he’d wind up here.

  5. Cool! I’m honestly surprised that he didn’t get a major league contract from the Tigers or someone else. He was still pretty good for us last year.

  6. You know what? I like Chafin. And when we went to Cleveland for their series in the summer last year he got a save and we saw his parents walking out of Jacobs Field.

How did we know it was them? They had Andrew Chafin City Connect jerseys on.

  7. Hell yeah I love this dude, the Tigers pitching has potential to be elite this season, Rotation and Bullpen.
