[MLB Analysis] Paul Skenes discusses Pittsburgh Pirates ‘buy-in’ for 2025 MLB season

Buy in to what? Profits? Apathy? Failure? The fuck did we buy into this off season
It’s appalling that Paul Skenes has to be excited about possibly building a contender from within, and the only positive thing he has to say about the offense is that the guys have lots of “buy-in”.
If we would have went out and got players at last years deadline, or made a single notable signing this off-season, we wouldn’t have to worry about caring about Tommy fucking Pham’s buy-in.
Buying into the billion dollar contract he’s gonna sign with the dodgers in 3 years.
He was on Pardon My Take a while back and they were talking about potentially playing with certain guys on other teams (I think Dylan Crews mainly). He didn’t even pretend like he was planning on being in Pittsburgh long term. And I can’t say I blame him.
