I dunno–the ongoing ballpark kerfuffle in St. Pete is a much larger issue for the league; it means lower gameday revenue for the team (so less revenue for MLB overall) and is a black eye for the league along with the Sacramento A’s situation. Sternberg’s had years to figure this out and gotten nowhere, so it’s probably time for him to go.
Best hope for the Pirates would be issues with the Pirates getting a second lease at PNC Park, but I think relocation would be the outcome there. Nutting would have to totally bungle things for MLB to want him out.
