  1. I can see Kjerstad playing more at DH against righties if Ohearn is struggling or Kjerstad is hitting better. If Mountcastle doesnt hit as well against righties, Ohearn can play first and Kjerstad DH. He will get probably about 80 atarts this yr and about 300-400 at bats between LF, RF, and DH.

  2. I suspect Mullins will sign a two- or three-year extension before we get too deep into the season. Seems like there should be motivation from both sides to strike that sort of deal.

  3. Maybe Ced should go back to switch hitting, because he can't do any worse against southpaws than he is now. Whatever he does, he needs to figure it out quickly. The idea that the Orioles would want to extend him is debatable. If he struggles again, and Bradfield makes significant strides, it's entirely possible that there's going to be a new Opening Day centerfielder for the O's in 2026.

You mentioned Kimbrel on yesterday's show. If he would be open to a minor league contract, I could maybe see a path back to MLB for him. Around this time last year he was telling reporters that he was working on a third pitch, a changeup. Then the season started and he was great the first half without throwing a single change. Then everything went south for him, but he stubbornly resisted giving the pitch a chance until his last appearance in an Orioles uniform. He threw a few, and I'm thinking, why'd he take so long to break out the pitch, especially when his season, and maybe career, were in jeopardy? I think he may still be able to have success, but he needs to reinvent himself to a degree.
