The Cleveland Browns WILL End Up With Kirk Cousins But Their Draft Plans MUST Stay The Same

It’s been a mostly quiet offseason for the Cleveland Browns so far, but Spencer German believes a big move is looming later this week or weekend in the form of Kirk Cousins. If he comes to Cleveland though, the Browns can’t alter their draft plans for him.

Also, Spencer reflects on the moves made so far and gets some insight on newly signed offensive tackle Cornelius Lucas.

  1. Cousins is just as likely going to Titans. They could be lukewarm on Shedeur and Cam and instead go for Dart for example. He might be more inclined to go to a team that isn’t picking a QB in the 1st.

  2. Cousins isn't coming to Cleveland and even if he did, great, a choker.. Face it we're stuck with Menshew. If Cleveland was smart and recent trends say they are not, they would take Carter and then Howard in rd 2 or 3. The top QB prospects have Richardson written all over them.

  3. I think its some scenario Atlanta buys a late around pick. It's Atlanta paying 60% of the contract this year and then Cousins negotiates the rest of the of his contract. I could be wrong

  4. How come all other teams are bringing in at least above average QBs and the clowns are bringing in a loser and a robot who cant move and has an arm thats shot. lmao

  5. If the Browns trade for Cousins the Falcons will need to absorb a large chunk of his salary. The Browns crippled themselves with the DeSean Watson contract. They'd be wise to get a rookie QB with an economical contract. The cheapest quarterback for the most expensive position is either a rookie or a washed up veteran clinging to his career. Cousins has a massive contract. The Browns can't invest 50% of their cap on two older quarterbacks of dubious value. In any event, the Browns will get a quarterback early in the draft, round 1 or 2. If the Falcons cut Cousins and make him a free agent he'll be slightly more desirable … but he'll still demand a huge contract. It won't be as big as his contract with the Falcons, but it won't be cheap. Just bite the bullet and go with a new kid. Shedeur. Jaxson. Quinn. I'd go with Jaxson over Kyler Murray, sorry, Shedeur.

  6. Cousins in negotiations: “If I’m going to agree to be a dawg, I need to know how long my leash will be.”

Kevin: “It’ll be an invisible fence. You’ll think everything is good then you’ll get shocked.”

  7. Of course, I'm not happy with the universal outlook of the Browns being awful in any way.. Roster management, talent, Watson and his cap etc. Then again, you put a good vet like Cousins in the team 2 years ago, were talking about a possible AFC championship appearance or better. There is talent here at each level and if the defense isn't on the field 70% of the game as they were last year, we could be a sneaky good team and add a motivated defense believing they have a shot in any game which I didn't see last year due to just how bad Watson was. (Worst rated QB smh) Cousins had good numbers before his injury last year. I wouldn't be surprised if he is successful. Things can change so fast.. I can see reasons for us going 5-12 and 12-5

  8. 🎉🎉🎉so excited for you all in the CLE!!! Wether you get Cousins, Wilson, Flacco Wentz..you will get a veteran and then an exciting draft pick too…all top 5 players are fabulous ‼️🙌🏻‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️

  9. Falcons are adamant that they won't cut him and there is zero financial incentive to do so. Browns can only hope and pray but the news today is that they fully intend to keep him basically until somebody trades for him.
