Wow, if the Falcons do this, I wonder how it will affect the locker room. This will backfire on the Falcons more than Kirk Cousins because now it will look like the Falcons are in the business of keeping hostages and you can't expect Kirk Cousins to contribute to anything to the betterment of the Falcons. I think they should just cut him so we can turn the page of this and move on.
What’s good with you Tidy I’ve been saying that Terry did say it twice that they were going to keep Kirk as our backup QB bc they have to pay him anyway and I don’t think Kirk will be a distraction to the team.
I figured that they would hold on to Kirk the same way they held on to Heinicke on the roster until a team needs a veteran QB so that they could get some type of compensation for him instead of just cutting him and get nothing.
I don't like it because kirk will be cancerous within the locker room won't help penix because he wants his job…just think about it they keeping a man captive against his will…he doesn't want to be here….I want him gone!
Bring in another QB and make him fight it out with him for qb2
Kirk was real cocky on the shaq podcast talking about atl not having a qb in a long time so he basically gave them a ultimatum saying pay me because u have nothing else..which is why i think they took penix in the draft right after that podcast

Not a surprise. I wouldn’t cut him either. It’s not like you don’t have to pay him if you cut him. He actually gets to make even more than what you already have to pay him. By September some team will be desperate and we may even make something worth it off of him. We can also cut him next year and owe nothing.

Im not surprised why should they help him. This is a wait and see situation i think Terry gone try and get something and if he can't just cut him later. You can't have this guy on the team after lying like that.
