MONTREAL — Cole Caufield had a goal and an assist, and the Montreal Canadiens won 3-1 against the Florida Panthers at Bell Centre on Saturday.

Patrik Laine scored a power-play goal and Christian Dvorak scored his 100th NHL goal for Montreal (32-27-7), who are 7-1-2 in their past 10 games.

“From start to finish, I think it was one of the best games we’ve played since I’ve been here,” said Canadiens coach Martin St. Louis, who was hired on Feb. 9, 2022. “The fans spoiled us in the third period, and we wanted to give them our all. It was a nice experience for everyone in the building tonight. I really enjoyed the third period, the way we carried ourselves and all the atmosphere.

“Now it’s about trying to go out and deserve more moments like that.”

  15. The panthers have by far the most generous whistle in the league. They can do anything and everything to you, but you even so much as look at them funny you get called, so it makes sense that interference was called lol

The refs are the worst like every year they need to go back to the juniors to learn or get held responsible for things they do look at what happened with bedard top players of the league do not take that many penalties cause they know better but last two game with bedard they give him game misconducts if thats the case than why hasn't mcdavid or Nathan mc even Crosby doesn't have that many so they need to get looked at if there willing to do it with regular season throwing some games for teams than why wouldn't they do it in the playoffs helping a team win cause we seen it last year in the playoffs
