LaMelo Ball the BEST PG in the NBA

Brandon Jennings and Gilbert Arenas of the Gil’s Arena podcast debate if LaMelo Ball of the Charlotte Hornets is the BEST point guard in the NBA right now. Brandon Jennings thinks the dual threat PG is making a case for it. Even with a bad team he is still averaging almost 30 points a game and is balling for the Hornets. Gil says the new type of guard has to be able to pass and shoot. He is one of those players who can do it all. He has advanced the game of the point guard position in the NBA and will continue to improve during his career. He might be more pass friendly but can score the ball at will too. This inside the nba take comes from the Gil’s Arena podcast airing every week during the NBA season.

Gil’s Arena every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at 11:30am PT / 2:30pm ET.

  1. If Melo can get to the defense level and patience of Lonzo wit his hieght and the way the game come so easy to him. Would definitely have a case but RN he no better than a Luka just more flashy but as the old saying goes, "defense wins championships 💯

  2. I just really hope he doesn’t start messing up and not taking the training seriously but seems like his father has a good grasp on how to guide him at this point

  3. Amazing how this kid has no fear it's insane I'm not sure what Lavar instilled in this kid. To me his more fearless than the other siblings & more talented…..

  4. He needs better teammates it’s been 5 years already and he still with bad players, or trade him to the spurs him and wemby are the new kobi and shaq , new face of the nba

  5. High scoring numbers with below average efficiency….. and is leading the league in turnovers. If you count for all the games he has missed. Basically a turnover to assist ratio. That’s not a good point guard

  6. I don't understand the obsession with Melo. What is it?….the braids?! Dude doesn't play winning basketball. Is he fun to watch?…. of course. Time Duncan was a boring ass player to watch. He won though….and he won a lot. (Not a spurs fan just giving a comparison). Can the guy get to 30 wins before we start anointing him the best. Cade Cunningham took literally THE WORST TEAM IN NBA HISTORY…. and they're in the playoffs hunt. Cade has done way more with way less than Lamelo
