4. That 3 pitch, 3 dinger start to Saturday's game caused me some brain damage, I can't imagine what this did to Cortez.

5. Cortes needs to be investigated for throwing that game. I can't understand how a seasoned pitcher can get destroyed like that without helping it happen. Three pitches, three home runs from three different batters? That just doesn't happen. With or without juiced bats, that just doesn't happen.

6. So, are the Yankees that damn good? Or is our pitching, i mean, basically all of our pitching that frickin bad? Starters all the way through? This was a complete embarrassment 🫠. 5 K's to start the year for Chourio? What did they do, drink the whole damn week before they played? We shall see if the Yankees continue to smash opponents like this. Are the bats a thing? It very well could be. However much i dont like it, its scientific and every team should have that same technology and bat adjustment otherwise its wrong. It is an advantage, whether you think it or not. 😢. 8. I'm a Cards fan and was watching those games, but I'm ALWAYS keeping my eye on the Brewers, and this pod is one of my regulars. What happened in NY absolutely SHOCKED me. I couldn't believe that the Brewers had such an implosion! But I am glad to see Chuck with the laughter though. Gallows humor is still humor, after all!
   Now I'm sure the Brewers will get it figured out in the next couple of weeks, so hang in there.

9. This was an embarrassing series. Made me feel like I was watching the pitiful small market team everyone implies we are.

10. What an unmitigated disaster! I am ashamed. Completely outclassed. In the last 5 games, all losses, we have given up 66 runs and 22 HRs. Extrapolated over 162cgames that's 2000+ runs and 800 HRs. You can't even do that in batting practise.

16. I still think Pat Murphy irons this out somehow. He's got his hands full. Letting Joe Ross go was a HUGE loss for the Brewers. Joe Ross pitched at a starter, then more effectively as a reliever last year. Two other fill gap pitchers were Bryse Wilson and Colin Rea. So Murphy had more to work with. So, this year will be tougher, but I totally expect Murphy to have this team rise to the top. Murphy makes winners and he'll use every resource in his tool kit to get the job done, bordering on illegal.

17. Brewers have a cheap owner in a sport without a salary cap. This franchise will forever be doomed unless one of those two things change. Lol.

18. Devin Williams singlehandedly LOST the post season for the Brewers last year. Without Devin Williams, the Brewers were on their way to win the world series. So, if you're all boo hoo about losing Devin Williams, I'll disagree. Getting ZERO for Devin Williams is addition by subtraction. Now, getting a starter, albeit one that got crushed in game one AND a future superstar 2nd baseman in Caleb Durbin, the Brewers scored big.

19. I like that Jake Bauers won a spot on this team. How quick we forget, he's only a backup but hit the go ahead homerun in game 3 of the playoffs against the Mets last year. Bauers pinch hit for who? Without checking, I think it was Rhys Hoskiins.

20. If Jacob Misourouski get brought up, he's being brought up prematurely. It won't end well. You can't survive in the majors with only a fastball. Let him keep working on his offspeed stuff in Nashville. He's NOT ready and will get smashed.

21. Elvin Rodriguez starting? Not sure he earned this spot but will be hoping the best for him. I'm very interested in who gets the game #2 start against KC. Freddie Peralta gets game 3, we know that. But, by process of deduction, it's still really tough to figure out who gets to start game #2. Elvin Rodriguez probably only goes 2 innings today. Elvin Rodriguez is a relief pitcher who can throw multiple innings. I think Pat Murphy will pull another surprise out of his hat and start Elvin Rodriguez in back to back games. My second pick would be Chad Patrick to start game #2 because he's got starting experience and doesn't have too many innings on his arm. My third pick would be Jarod Koenig because he's started games last year as an opener. Kind of a mystery at this point.

22. You see, this is something that if an organization was serious about its fan base, it would TAKE ACTION. Fire the director of player health. How many pitchers went down? It just started! Wouldn't surprise me if the job is being run by a rookie…

31. This team needs a better pitching evaluator because I do not see a pitcher on this team that would be a no 4 on any other team. I am hoping the coaching gets these guys on the right page.

32. The NY Yankees bats were altered with DNA modified rubber trees through growth radiation treatments. Professor Wee Wee Wong was banned in the US for using gain of function nuclei modification of arboreal species in 1992. She moved to China due to far more lackadaisical research laws. Hevea brasiliensis also known as rubber trees were developed outside of the US in a Chinese city Hanyang, which does research on radiation nucloid displacement. The subject of the research was to modify trees so that they became super rubbers, strong yet rubbery through an induced calcifation of the trees. What they found was it was rubbery, strong and very light weight. This became the subject of inquiry for Yankees management materials division, which used the illegally modified trees to create baseball bats also know as torpedo bats, which are only sold to the Yankees by a strict contract.

33. The Brewers starters as a group don't make as much as the Yankee's #2 pitcher. We have an entire rotation on the IL. This is where being a small market team is a total detriment. Sadly, the Brewers either need to trade (and get fleeced) for a starting pitcher, or go out and get a few long relievers. You need 4 (real) starters to have a lineup, right now, we are down to 2 with Civale's injury, that will not play in the MLB. I get that we had some injuries in spring training, but that has to be accounted for. And the other thing that's sad, just because it hasn't happened in the MLB yet, doesn't mean it won't. So, yeah, worst start possible. If they shake it off and play well this next series, who cares, just a bad series. If they don't, people are gonna be screaming.

40. As a Yankees fan, the weekend made me happy, but at the same time, I felt really sorry for Nestor Cortés. I like him, and this felt harsh to me. I wish him a much more successful career with the Brewers than Saturday’s game. I know he’s got what it takes.

46. As a Mets fan with no horse 🐎 in this race,I was able to be level headed and thought that your Brewers would play the Yankees as tough as you guys play us. Don’t know what happened there besides those Yankees bats 😜. Let’s hope we fare better against them as well we should. I know that we would definitely be up for each other as well as our respective fans.
