Mason Taylor has grown on me, and TEs are no sure thing; so, I’m all for drafting a top defender/trade down + draft Mason in the second round if he’s there.
We cannot afford the luxury of whiffing on a TE in the first round.
Loveland is not “more athletic”. The yards after catch and balance Warren has makes him a way better athlete than Loveland. And Loveland is probably a better blocker than Warren is right now but Warren just needs work on his route running and blocking fundamentals which gives him that upside and ceiling that’s way higher than Loveland. Loveland is more of a mark Andrews who still needs to fill out his frame.
We honestly can’t draft a TE at 14. That being said, I don’t see many DL guys that deserve that spot either. I think we maybe go Edge? I know, we just did last year. We could certainly go OL too, and maybe should after this FA window…
