  7. I would only trade for him for peanuts tbh because of age, the contract he will want/need, we need more help with run defense and he’s predominantly a pass rushing DE…

    If you want a topic to discuss, I would say that IF there is no re-sign of Terry by Draft day, Commanders WILL draft a WR to cover them in case TM is FA in 2026. There is a general lack of receivers available between 29 and 54. In some of the mocks I have run, Burden or Egbuka were available at 29. In only ONE mock Golden was available. In MOST mocks, NONE of these are available at 29, and the other WRs are rated at 54 slot or later. This leaves room for trading back, even several times.
    It appears as though WAS has covered all the holes and does not HAVE to draft any particular position, but WR and ED would be the highest priority. ED quality is rather consistent throughout the draft so I think WR will be drafted first.
    I think even if TM re-signs, it will be only a 3yr with 1-year guaranteed due to age, and due to age other channels say he is worth 22-25m, not the 30m that has been bandied about on WAS channels. Remember that anywhere else TM might have caught 10 to 25% fewer yards because of the Daniels factor. The remarks by Peters were designed to tell fans, hey, we tried, TM wanted to test FA.
    So that leaves a void here, all the channels ASSUMING TM will be re-signed, no one describing which WRs could take Terry's place, like, oh, he is irreplaceable. If TM wanted to re-sign this would already have happened.

    I think most fans know by now it is a one in a million chance of the Commanders signing him, so please put this to rest.

  17. How many picks the Commanders have is absolutely irrelevant. Show me a player at pick 29 that would offer anything close to the immediate impact Trey Hendrickson would have on this team? The answer is, there are none. I don’t think there is anyone in the entire draft even earlier that comes close.

    You have to put everything into perspective …..the window has never been more wide open for Washington right now, and for the next 4 years with JD5 on a rookie contract. I’m telling you right now, nobody we’ve acquired so far was a bad move. The team improved itself, but Hendrickson? He’d take the top off. He could do for the defense what Jayden did for the offense … make the entire defense perform at an entirely different level!

    Now I’ve been under the understanding that it would take a 1st to make the trade. And I’m fine with that. But a 2? Are you kidding me ? Boom …. done. No hesitation … (shusshhh … do it quickly before they change their minds).

  20. Trey was drafted in the 3rd round and is now one of the best edge rusher in the league. This years edge class is deep. Nothing is guaranteed but there is a decent chance we can draft an elite edge rusher this year in the second (or even the third if we trade back). He might not be elite this year but there are some crazy athletic ends that will go 2nd 3rd round. Next years edge class is not supposed to be anywhere near as good as this years
