REDS POSTCAST: The Cincinnati Reds WASTE All Momentum from Saturday in loss to the Milwaukee Brewers

The Milwaukee Brewers thoroughly outclassed the Cincinnati Reds in an 8-2 loss on Sunday Afternoon, as they looked completely outmatched in every phase of the game. The Reds’ offense was non-existent for most of the day, as they could only muster five hits as a team. It was a day to forget for Cincinnati, especially as the Brewers showed dominance both at the plate and on the mound.

The turning point came in the fifth inning when Reds reliever Sam Moll entered the game. Moll struggled mightily. With two outs, Jackson Chourio launched his first home run of the evening, a towering shot to left field that gave the Brewers a commanding 7-0 lead. Moll couldn’t find his rhythm, and Chourio, who was a constant threat all night, would go on to hit another homer later in the game, further putting the Reds out of reach.

Milwaukee’s offense showed no mercy, as they took advantage of nearly every opportunity given to them. Reds starter and bullpen arms alike found themselves in tough spots, with the Brewers consistently putting pressure on them. Cincinnati’s defense couldn’t stop the barrage, and their hitters couldn’t find a way to break through against Brewers’ pitching.

Tim recaps today’s game while also discussing the Reds lack of consistency, bad pitching, and Spencer Steer having a nice day at the plate.

  1. Please don't start fraley…A TOTAL WASTE…THE REDS GOT BURNED IN THE TRADE WITH SEATTLE…THE REDS GAVE UP SUAREZ, AN ALL STAR 3RD BASEMAN NOW HITTING 30 OR MORE HRS A YEAR NOW…FOR FRALEY???? and 3 other garbage players…
Alright, at least start MARTE, WHO IS CURRENTLY TEARING IT UP, batting over .400
    He was from Seattle…

  2. Honestly I think CES is not very good I can see a .210 hitter with 21 HRs for the season not good enough. And candy and lux are worse! Fraley.. is negative 100 skill level

  3. We need a fusion of 3 good proven bats added to this lineup outside of Elly and Matt and Stephenson to even contend. I just look at all the good teams roster vs ours and the talent gap is too big imo . We wouldn’t make it far anyways because we don’t have a viable bench. Reds are 1 or 2 injuries away from a disaster happening.

  4. The team is listening to all these fickle fans, they need to relax, forget about the past and play baseball. They are digging themselves a hole. But it is still early. Tito needs to get them to focus on job at hand!!! Elly is pressing. Candelario is a nobody. So is CES must produce, or try someone else. The middle of line up is lacking!!!
