  1. For as bad as the Win/Loss totals for the last stretch here has been, I feel like for the most part they’ve played a lot of decent hockey.

    The first half killed us.

    If ASP can step into the top 4 next year, and it allows us to relegate Holl and Gus to 5th/7th dman status I think we’re a lot better for it.

  2. Yzerman needs to pick up a good FA LHD even if ASP ready. Waive Erik G. Try and move Holl. This applies to next season.

    What do they do on the forward-side? I am not sure. Try and sign Marner? Well, I guess. If they do that, will they have the money for Kane and a good FA LHD?

    Me? I would leave a slot open on the forward-side for Lombardi or Danielson to compete for.

    At this stage with where the team is at, I do not agree with Yzerman filling all slots similar to what Holland would do. That does not make sense at this stage.

  3. The season is winding down and we’re mathematically still in the race for WC2. That in itself is amazing after the crap start we had to begin the season… and our now “typical” March collapse. Playoffs could still happen! LGRW!

    We could see some big time goal scoring milestones still happen:

    – Will Raymond get to 30 goals and be a PPG player?

    – The Cat is really catching fire- has he got 40 goals in him?

    – Will Larkin find his Mojo and hit 30?

    – How about Kasper getting 20?

  4. Larkin’s injury really hurt us down the stretch. Copp’s line was in a good groove as well when we lost him for the year.

    Missing (effectively) your 1C and 2C for the stretch run is not a recipe for success.

  7. If Marner’s resigned offsheet knies, I’d be fine with us even giving him 8mx7yrs if that’s what it took. Also would want Gavrikov if possible.

  10. Anybody else think Dcat-Marco-Ras would be a solid 2nd line? Raymond-Larkin-Kane on the 1st?

  11. Does no one else besides me think that Marner is a borderline lock to sign an extension with Toronto?

  12. I would not be shocked if 3-4 years from now, Kasper and Soda are both top 3 forwards on this team

    I also wouldn’t be shocked if Soda doesn’t stick in the NHL (Kasper would be shocking)

    Really hard to read the big guy but I really like what I see

    Got all this on Friday. A long but glorious kickoff to April in the D. Tigers and Wings both got a win. Mike Illitch is looking down smiling, not just at the results but at me blowing all my money on his teams…But, luckily, what’s pictured was only $13 for everything, and the puck was $12 of that lol. Man the weekend went by so fast. Back to work now 🙁

  19. I don’t see if too often where the national and local call for a goal are equally as great. Both Beninati and whoever was calling the TNT broadcast had amazing calls for #895.

  20. I wonder what the butterfly effect woulda been of starting the season with a Kasper – Larkin – Raymond line rather than having to wait til January

  21. So many stick taps for u/awood40, the highlight video was excellent as usual.

    Also stick taps to Rayzer for flying into the middle of that third period scrum despite being the shortest guy on the ice by a solid margin.
