This is tha opposite of tha Oriole's!!! Need ta trade wit Seattle n u get sum young talent n we get a great pitcher! Lets do it!!!
Jays fan here just wanting to add a thought I had about this. Is it possible that with T-Mobile Park having such an anti-hitter reputation around the league, big power bat names are reluctant to even consider the team?
I thought about it and their last big thumper acquisition was Teoscar, and even that was a trade from us who left immediately after and publicly said he never felt like his hitting was more off than while he was in Seattle.
Money talks for sure and they could potentially wrangle someone in at a big premium, but part of me just thinks anyone of note isn't considering risking drastically lowering their numbers unless they get a big bonus. Plus it's been proven the ownership isn't ponying up even small bucks, let alone premiums.
Considering M's have a good farm system, I always thought they should consider the route of rental trades. The players don't really have a say in it, and maybe you get a hit on one who can break the T-Mobile curse and will be incentivized to stay long term.
With what they're paying Julio, mariners fans should be booing him at this point. A good night for him is one hit at this point. Regularly goes hitless. But just like the mariners offense, the fans are soft there too.
This team is the Cleveland Browns of baseball. Absolutely the worst franchise historically in the Bigs. I quit paying attention to them after being disappointed for 30 years. Haven’t missed anything except frustration for the last decade. Sell em to some other city…..
