The Milwaukee Brewers are just pounding the baseball lately. Having won 7 of 8 following a 17-2 thumping of the Colorado Rockies at Coors Field. there’s that man again, Jackson Chourio, delivering early and often for the Brewers.. Others like Christian Yelich and William Contreras are also finding their stroke. The left side of the infield is struggling a tad.. My point wasn't that Turang should play SS because he'd win the platinum award. My point was Turang is the best defender by far in the infield and SS is the most important defensive position in the infield. Turang will cover plays that Ortiz won't. Ortiz would fix the problem at 3B, by moving back to 3B. Then Durbin, who is fit for 2B would take over at 2B. It gives the Brewers a a better offense and defensive setup.
The best argument against it, is that Turang will hurt his arm or get "shoulder fatigue" by playing SS. 2nd counter argument would be that both Ortiz and Turang want to feel established in their positional roles playing only one position and switching would upset this.

The cubs are a problem this year. They look good and pretty consistent. I know it's early in the season, but they look way better than last year. Speaking of the cubs, Brice reminds me of my favorite player: Ryne Sandberg. What a comparison there. 😂. Still skeptical of these brewers 😂. I want to see what they will do against a team like the Dodgers. Can they hang with winning teams? We shall see.
Brewers haven't played anyone except for the Yankees. Enough said!
Sadly the Brewers will always be weak in the corners. Tough to get quality at those positions when you are running a 100mil payroll. And go figure two of our big money guys are starting off slow (Yelich,Hoskins).

I find it so funny that all Chuck does is trash on Dunn and Capra yet his boy Rhys is batting .167 with a .464 ops as your everyday first baseman.
I don't think even Brewer fans realize what they have in Chourio. If he played in NY or LA or even Chicago, he'd be the talk of baseball. Even Skenes gets more attention because the big markets are already circling
Chuck, I enjoy your show. I’m a big Cleveland guardians fan and I can’t help but find a lot of similarities between them and the brew crew. For that reason I’ve sort of adopted Milwaukee as my national league team of interest and I’m pulling for y’all this year. Love watching turang play and hoping jaison Chourio of the guards organization can be even a fraction of how good his big brother Jackson is. Good luck this season
Think about how good Chourio will be once his plate discipline improves. He could be top 5 hitter in the game… Actually, I think he is already!

Amazing Stat. Churio has yet to draw a walk !!
However, other stats are elite. #1 in Extra Base hits 11. Tied with Kyle Tucker who's done it in 15 games, while Jackson has done it in 12. Same with RBIs, tied for 2nd. It's so early in his career, but he looks real.
That was the Brewers, performing as they were designed. Wreaking havoc on the base paths. Chourio mashing the ball. That was fun.
