If this is what it takes to get him to contribute I’m all for it. It would suck to see another former first rounder who never made an impact for this team
The fact he relies almost entirely on fastball/sweeper/curveball with almost no splitter/change-up usage moving to bullpen makes the most sense. I think he could do well in 1 or 2 inning stints.
I saw some fantasy baseball bold prediction article from ESPN before the season and one of the tigers ones was that Matt manning would become a great closer👀
