Our 5v5 last season was a clear weakness, JBB did a tremendous job revamping the lineup and completely flipped the script this season. We have 6 players in the 40 in +/- and 10 on the Top 100. Looking forward to seeing translate to the playoffs too!

Him and Larry Robinson are the only players to play at least 15 seasons and be a + player in all of them. Robinson was a + in all 20 of his seasons, McDonagh a + in all 15. Craig Ramsay is next most at 14.
I don’t get how people can see hagel be +33 and still say barkovs been better defensively this year when he’s only +1. I know +/- isn’t everything but cmon it’s so obviously just a reputation award now

What’s the significance of the +/- metric? I know it’s the scoring differential when on the ice…but what does it say about a player? Is the leader in this stat typically a defenseman?
