Should have included the date, this was before we won the cup. Still out of touch with reality but less so. Also Seattle is the 15th largest metropolitan area in the United States, Las Vegas is 29th.
They have a good expansion story in the grand scheme of things. We still have the best expansion story.

I started watching hockey as a Kraken fan, and am an adopted Golden Knights fan by association. While I love the hell out of the Kraken, and I do think we’re on the right track, it’s not realistic or even useful to compare the two franchises. They have dramatically different origin stories. The Kraken are undoubtedly a slow burn though.
They’re gonna hire Campbell as the next HC, and then they’re going to be even worse next year.

Even funnier when you see what they just did with their front office reshuffle. Any team that is keeping Ron Francis around isn’t serious about winning.
