Watching the Sens quickly unravel in 3 games makes me feel like that’s possibly in store for the wings if and when they finally get to the playoffs. It’s a whole different level.

I saw someone say yesterday “there’s no point in making the playoffs unless you win the cup”. That’s like saying “there’s no point in drafting unless you pick first”, it’s good for the fans, you never know what happens when you get in, plus it helps build the right team to actually win

I think the Red Wings somewhat need an overhaul in their bottom six. They need players with snarl and are tougher on the forecheck. Is Ras that person? I do not think so. Move on from Motte and Smith. Tarasenko is not going to cut it either.
They need the likes of a Tanner Jeannot or something along those lines in a few bottom six positions. Get at least two guys like that.

That Matthews goal was just insane. That Marner-Matthews connection is just gold. Kinda like Oates-Hull back in the day. I do not see any scenario where he leaves Toronto.

So far the least surprising playoff series for me is Leafs vs Sens… that’s going how I thought it would. And most surprising is Wild vs VGK. I thought Wild might sneak in a win but didn’t expect them to lead the series ever.
