I'm from Southwest Michigan Doug to see them take Western Michigan offensive lineman was pretty cool I hope they make the team
What happean to the center from OHIO STATE..WHO GOT HIM
Dolfan Denny says: How in the hell does Miami not take Restrepo‼️ This is like when we got rid of Welker, and Brady made him a superst⭐️r‼️ Restrepo will be a superst⭐️r‼️‼️🇺🇲🏈🐬🍊🎳
Good video. Gotta remember that we're talking about UDFA's but still surprised the team completed the draft without a backup OT. These pieces aren't cheap and rookies need time to develop. I really was hoping for Lundt in the late rounds. Re: Armstrong – think I read he lead the SEC in yards and receptions but only had one TD. Gotta root for the kid
Doug keep an eye on BJ Adams. He has some things to clean up like doing a better job getting off blocks and staying in the play till the end….but from a coverage standpoint he has huge upside. Watch tape from UCF/Iowa State last year when he went against Higgins and Noel. This kid has a lot of potential!
Not drafting Restrepo was criminal. Biggers could’ve been an UDFA.
Restrepo is home grown talent and the fans would’ve adored him in aqua.
Build the trenches. Get rid of the “me me me” players. Run the ball and stop the run. That philosophy works in the heat of Miami and the cold in Buffalo. Stop the shenanigans I’m getting old!!!
Gonna be interesting to see what we do in FA… Grier said he’d be aggressive for pieces we need. With the pieces we snagged, I wouldn’t mind seeing Ramsey in a Phins uniform again this year
The only problem with signing FAs for the secondary and structuring the deals to kick the can down the road is that's how they got to the mess they're in with Ramsey and Hill in the first place. Unless the team is going to be in a position to be a true contender, they're just delaying the ability to start a rebuild because they're tied to all this dead money. But we'll see what happens.
As far as the undrafted free agents go, I'm not too concerned either way. Maybe the 60th and 70th overall guys (forget the exact numbers) might pan out, but even 3rd round picks are long shots under the best of circumstances. These are mostly depth and practice squad guys, and you might end up with one legit rotational guy in there somewhere. It's just too hard to speculate who it will be, unless there's some high end talent in there who fell due to health/personality concerns.
Are there any solid outside CB available? Samuel on the outside is asking for trouble.
I think there are always 1 or 2 UFA’s that make the team. I hated losing the 3rd pick but I think we got a solid starter at 2. Grier needs to figure out a way to keep the guys that develop so we don’t have to use free agency to fill the roster. Best teams keep their best players.
The world is full of living room GMs 😂😂😂
They started off great but they lost me after the 4th Pick.
Get rid of Grier McDonald and tua he’s a bum.
Oh i think they got awesome udfa s amd maybe some of them didn’t want to get drafted late 🤔
What’s up with cam smith? Just not what we thought he was or just can’t stay healthy?
UDFAs definitely matter…. Sometimes they turn out to be really amazing!
Most of these guys will never crack the roster!!! Some will be practice squad players!!!
I was bored to death with this draft all weekend, but really I think they did a pretty good job. I liked taking Quin Ewers he is a pretty good qb, (would like to have the guy who is replacing him) but he was good enough to keep Manning on the bench, and he was offered pretty good money to switch teams and play next year and choose to come out. I also liked Big O from Okie State pretty good RB.
With all these WR coming in guess we need to wonder if Waddle and Hill are both going out of town. Seems like they are focusing on that position rather than the CB/S's, head scratcher. Wonder what Welker said going out the door or what if what he was saying was why he was led out the door and turned out to be right??
Some of our media guys should also start talking to Weaver because seems like they have something in mind when it comes to CB/S that seems like the man who devised the plan, especially when you look at what we led the draft with. Worse thing that can happen is the players step up and we win a playoff game best thing we suck so bad we get Manning and reset. I wish the players would just step up and play for the fans for once. Fins up!
Armstrong is a guy I was interested in late Day 3, Miami desperately needs size and reliability at WR, and he's that. Plus he's clocking-in at a 4.5, so he's not slow by any stretch of the imagination. Baldwin being a low 4.3 guy as a UDFA is intriguing. The rest I know literally nothing about, but apparently some are good.
My sole complaint (massive understatement) is Miami not getting Lampkin in the 7th, let alone UDFA. He's way too fucking good on film to let Miami pass by them, when they've had the worst OL for over 5 years now. I never want to hear about size when the production on the field is not only good, but elite.
All in all I hate that Miami didn't trade down a lot in the First, but Grant being the pick is good. I hate the trading-up in the Second after not trading-down in the First, but I love that it's Savaiinaea. Jordan Phillips was a good pick-up, Marshall looks like great value at CB, Ollie Gordon was on my radar for a late Day 3 RB if Miami didn't take Skattebo. My issues with their Draft are:
>Biggers and Ewers in the 7th are great, but not when Lampkin is on the board. Not getting Lampkin is Grier continuing to not understand what to do in order to fix the OL.
>Savaiinaea is a fantastic pick, but he could've been there at 48, and will he be worth losing 98 and moving back from 135 to 143? When you look at where guys were picked, I struggle to believe that'll be the case. Even more straight-forward, do you believe that Savaiinaea is better than having Charles Grant and (with a very minor trade-up) Will Johnson, Revel, Amos, or Morrison? I don't think so.
>The Draft is good in a vacuum, even despite my hatred for the lack of trading-down in the First. But it's a Draft I'd expect from a good, established team with a good GM and coach. Miami has neither of those things. The roster needed more than what this is giving them, or drastically better coaching from McDaniel, and we shouldn't expect that, we should expect him and Grier being gone in a few months.
Erik ezukanma is perfect example of why I have no faith in the draft Grier and McDaniel do
Wasn't there 15 players miami signed and not 14?
For us wanted to trade Ramsey we sure had a bad db class
I see 2 -4 free agents possibly making team ps i like og michigan, ucf cb,
Armstrong isn’t the fastest but has very good hands and a decent size which we definitely need.
this is a bunch of bums this draft was garbage one of the worst I have ever seen and we get a C+ grade at best. Grier fucked up waiting to fill up the DB room we will have a horrible DEF and the worst secondary ever put on the field
The TE from Arkansas has a great run blocking grade and is 264 lbs. Better be looking over your shoulder J Hill
The udfa i wanted they didn't get. I still really hope they go get RB Quinton Cooley out of Liberty. I was really hoping they get Nick Nash and Sebastian Castro. Im really against this draft and those 2 would've made it better
Saunders the best pick up this undraftwd free agency
Hopefully the tall undrafted wrs do well we need that
