Triston Casas STRETCHERED OFF the Field After Scary Leg Injury | 2025 MLB Season
much chunk out the same lineup all the time there. Yeah. And as we were talking about, I think he’s going to it’s it’s almost like spring training. Look here. Little chopper and Ryan with a bobble. He’ll shovel it. Safe. Oh no. And K is down clutching. Had his leg, maybe his knee there. Once he hit the bag, he went crumbling and on his back. And you know, Tristan kind of really sniffed that hit out. I think when he hit the bag, it just sort of buckled on him. He’s not usually kind of beating out ground balls, right? Infield hits. But this one here, because it was bobbled, I think the way he lunged at that bag, immediately kind of looked at that left knee, it was definitely unusual. Ruled an error on Ryan, by the way. Oh my. Yeah, that’s not good. Yeah, that is not good. They’re calling for a cart for Tristan Casus. Well, Rocket, the way you you reacted too right away, like, oh, wait a minute. I mean, this is going to be a bizarre play. And that’s exactly what happened. Yeah. early in the game, you know, just like we saw last inning, you know, we call a kitty litter in front of the in front of home plate. Yeah. You know, those balls check up like a titlist in this one did, too. So, did you always request that? Remember like Derek Low? Oh, yeah. He landed. He landed hard on that, y’all. Yeah, he did. He came in. You know, he’s a big human, too. Watch how hard he plants on this first base. Yeah. He’s rumbling right here. He sees it, sees what happens, and he really hits it hard. Oh, what? And immediately clutching at that knee. And he he obviously he knows. Hate to see that. Yep. And when you have to bring one of the team doctors out and we’ll supervise the cart coming out on a very, very quiet Fenway Park. He did didn’t he have some injuries last year? Was it last year? Oh, yeah. Yeah. He had a rib cage last year. He’s had a few the last Now, this right here, right, is kind of fluky, hitting a bag, but he’s had a few the last couple of years. Hate that. It’s never good when you’re bringing the card out here. A lot of times you see guys maybe pop up and kind of just hobble off or guys help them off the bag, but the fact they’re not messing around at all is not a good sign. He came down when he was grabbing that left knee. It was actually the right knee is what hit the bag hard, but the the left knee is the one that he hurt. So, yeah, I was looking at the one that hit the bag, but it’s the left knee right Oh, there the way it landed. You see him catch some of the toe of Yeah. Almost like caught underneath it. Let’s see. cuz you’re focusing on the foot that always hits the bag, right? But it was actually the other knee. Well, I’ll tell you what, they put him they put him up there pretty quick. And you know that feeling too, like listen, he had that rib cage. He missed was it 90 games or so and he missed the last month of his rookie year too. Like that feeling right there, Rajie. You know, no, it’s you you you know you’re out for a while, right? And you’re frustrated because last year you missed some time as well. You can see the frustration on his face. Brutal. Well, you can see it on the faces of the twins, too. I mean, every athlete on the field has the same look on their face. Nobody wants to go through it. Byron’s out there in center field. You know, he’s had his fair share of injuries. Like, you just don’t want to see it. You’re competing against each other each and every day. You doesn’t matter if it’s in your team, the other team. You don’t want to see something like this. He’s he’s a thoughtful kid, too. So, he must know something. You could kind of just tell Romy Gonzalez will take over as the runner at first and again an error charged on the play on the pitcher. Ryan throwing some more warm-up tosses. Romy will take over at first as well. It’s not a position of depth for the Red Sox at all. No. And we’ve talked about this in the past. Um, you know, we’re not going to get ahead of ourselves with Casus, but you you got Rafy Devers kind of like DH and he played third base his whole career. Ro, you’ve seen many guys probably go from third to first base and you wonder if they’re going to start just start getting some work there. Yeah, I’ve been watching when I watched the socks, you know, that’s what I was watching. You know, I figured Breman, you know, would make uh you know, you know, you say better defensively, but uh you know, I knew I knew early early I was watching and and it seemed like uh Rafi, he was want to, you know, play a position and swing the bat, too. So, we’ll see what happens after this. You know, Seattle was here. Edgar Martinez was talking about it. Edgar, man. And Edgar was like, you know, it took me about a month to accept it.

These announcers are clueless. Always amazing how incapable they are of actually watching what happens rather than just assuming.
Hand up, Ive been a Casas complainer so far but you never want to see anything like this. Wish him the best.
Looks like a Torn Patella
Can't hit, cant run, injury prone, bring up the rookies… Things happen for a reason
Out of shape athlete thinks he wont get hurt because he never runs fast
damm men
Well he wasn’t screaming in pain so it might not be that bad. Lebron would’ve died.
Hate to see a guy get seriously injured. That said it's time to get Anthony up to the majors and figure out if Devers can play 1st
Athletes seem to know what happened. He didn't even attempt to get up.
Little paint on it. Some yoga. He'll be alright
Was it too cold outside?.. .now bring up Anthony!!
Wow. Casas went over and above trying to beat that throw. He deserves a Purple Heart and Silver Star.
I feel bad for Casas.
maybe spend more time stretching and less time painting your pretty nails
I'm sure he'll still be able to dominate an interview.
What's with the nail polish?
See you next year
I've been critical of Casas but this is not what I wanted to happen to him. I hope he can get through this. All my best wishes to him and his family.
Speedy recovery Casas, now bring Mayer and or Roman let's go!

The move the Sox should make is as follows: 1. Campbell goes to first base. 2. Rafella goes to 2nd base (Hamilton plays 2nd as well) Rafella goes into outfield in late innings for defense. 3. Duran moves to center field. 4. YOU BRING UP Roman Anthony and you put him in Left Field. Thats the only move that makes sense and will help the team. All the other moves are not going to help the team. Anthony is ready. Let him play. Come on SOX.
God look over TC and heal him with your glory …In Jesus name we pray Thank you God Amen ….Go 🧦's
Poor kid. Just a freak accident. 😔
He wasn't running hard, then he turned it on & streeeeeeeetched for 1st base…but too much weight for a running stretch? Devers needs to get himself a 1st baseman's glove.
Walk off with help. Come on.
It looks like he was just waiting to get to the back to let out the wildest scream away from the fans. Get better bruh🙏🏾
Everyone saying ACL, but that looks like a Patella to me. Those are like the Achilles of the knee (crude comparison). Recovery is usually worse on those than ACLs nowadays. So I hope I'm wrong.
Lots of people commenting missing that it isn't the knee he lunged on, he's grabbing the left knee which he tried to tuck under, he caught his ankle, and then landed on when he fell.
BUSH LEAGUE
There's no way he was running during the off-season
