Hey all, we will be having MLB.com Reds team reporter Mark Sheldon on here tomorrow at 1pm ET for an AMA to talk all things Reds!
A little info on Mark:
Mark Sheldon is in his 25th season of reporting on baseball for MLB.com. He began on the Reds beat in 2006 after five seasons of covering the Twins. You can occasionally see him on MLB Network or hear him on the radio – usually WLW in Cincinnati. In the offseason, he is a fill-in co-host on the Reds Hot Stove League along the Reds Radio Network. Although it is no more, going on the radio booth in the second inning with Marty Brennaman or Tommy Thrall was always a good time.
After growing up in Pine Bush, N.Y., not far from New York City, Sheldon was a Univ. of Cincinnati graduate. He does indeed like Skyline Chili but is more often looking for good pizza – especially New York or Chicago style.

Tavern style or deep dish?
why are the hitters so inconsistent …it looks like lack of tenacity and also not much situational hitting and battling at the plate
Barring an injury, does Chase Burns make his MLB debut this season?
What drew you to the Univ. Of Cincinnati?
What’s your favorite place/area of Cincinnati?
Favorite story ever covered or favorite season to cover in Cincy?
Which players/coaches are able to ignite fire in the team? (Who are the Gerry Bertier’s?)
Why are the reds 3-17 in rubber matches?
Favorite hole in the wall food spot in Cincinnati?
I live 4 hours away and yet I’m “blacked out”. Why should I spend extra money to watch a franchise that intentionally blocks me from following them?
PS – eat shit, Bob
Do you think Rece Hinds will be in the lineup soon?
Tell me your favorite Eric Davis story please!
Hi Mark, I really enjoy receiving your Reds Beat e-mail newsletters and the glimpse of life inside the Reds clubhouse that they provide to us! I am curious about what the “typical” daily schedule for an MLB beat reporter is and how you find and decide on the stories to cover?
What’s it going to take for the Reds to become legitimate contenders again? Will a couple of years of Tito, with this roster, be enough? Will it take new ownership? A salary cap/floor? I was born in 1991, so I’ve never seen a world series winner (or much winning at all), is there hope??
Why is Rece Hinds still in AAA while Blake Dunn is in a massive slump at the MLB level? Doesn’t flipping them seem an obvious idea to try?
