TIGERS POSTCAST: WHAT A ROAD TRIP! Detroit Tigers SWEEP Colorado Rockies, Finish Road Trip 7-3

Detroit Tigers swept Colorado Rockies in the double header at Coors Field and earned a series sweep over the Rockies. Detroit Tigers finish the 10-game road trip 7-3 and having won six of their last seven games. Detroit Tigers opened up a 9-0 lead after three innings to earn the 10-2 win while in game 2 Detroit Tigers took control early scoring six runs in the third enroute to the 11-1 win. Colorado Rockies are the worst team in baseball and off to a 6-31 start tying the Baltimore Orioles of 1988 for the worst start in the modern era of Major League Baseball. Detroit Tigers return to Comerica Park for a three game series with the Texas Rangers beginning Friday night.

  3. It’s fun with the Tigers winning like this. Just remember, though. Teams have been known to turn around quickly with the right coaching and getting the right pieces. Remember 20+ years ago (can’t believe it’s been that long, honestly), the Tigers went from nearly setting the record for losses in a season to being in the World Series three years later.

    And yes, the Rockies and White Sox are really bad right now. Doesn’t help the Rockies that three of the other four teams in the NL West have three of the four best records in the NL, and it doesn’t help the White Sox that three of the other four teams in the AL Central have three of the four best records in the AL. Including our Tigers.
