The Denver Nuggets SENT The NBA A REMINDER…

The Denver Nuggets got a big time win on its home floor in game three in overtime as they reclaim momentum in this series. Game two, it’s a thing of the past. It’s long gone as the Nuggets, they bounced back nicely. Denver, they rallied from a 5651 halftime deficit in this one. And Aaron Gordon, he has been absolutely money in this postseason. coming up timely once again. He hit a three-pointer with 26.7 seconds remaining to tie the game at 102. And then in overtime, the Nuggets, they completely took over. Joic had a layup to open up overtime and then that sparked the 70 Nuggets run that sent the arena into a frenzy as Michael Porter Jr. hit a big three. Jamal Murray gave the Nuggets a 109 102 lead on a fast break layup off a Thunder turnover as the Denver Nuggets. They are now up two games to one with one more game on its home floor before they go back to OKC for a game five. But this is exactly what they needed following that disastrous loss they had in game two. And that was the story in this one of the Nuggets bouncing back from that big loss. Real quick guys, do me a solid, hit a like and subscribe for more Nuggets content. I’ll be covering the Nuggets in this series as the Nuggets 149 106. They lost game two to the Thunder. And I just love how they just completely forgot about it. They quickly put it in the rear view and this game just had such a different feel from start to finish than of course that game. And you know, Denver, this team proved to me in this game that they can win this series. And I do think the Nuggets win this series. You know, game one, that epic comeback that they had of their own two-point win. And then to win this game as they did, as it went into overtime, that’s where we really saw where Denver has the advantage with their experience and championship pedigree. And it’s OKC’s inexperience and the stagnation we saw from them with their offense that proved costly for them. And you really got to credit the other guys in this one for the Nuggets because Nicoolola Joic, he struggled from the field, but his supporting cast picked him up and that is a great sign. Michael Porter Jr., he showed up and this is a guy who’s been hampered by a lingering shoulder injury and you know, he’s struggled on the road. He managed 10 points total in game one and game two. But then back in Denver, he returned to being an impact player. He had 21 points, eight rebounds, shot five of six from three. And Porter’s playoffs so far, it’s been up and down. It’s been either feast or famine. But it was nice to see Porter really up his game as he led the Nuggets at halftime with 15 points, giving them that early boost, and then of course he hit the big three in overtime. And this is a guy who has been, you know, playing through pain. He he said that he’s been taking injections to numb the pain in his shoulder and he did so again on Friday to address what he said was initially diagnosed as a 4 to 6 week injury. So I know it’s been frustrating at times to see the up and down, but we got to remember what he’s been going through. So it was really nice to see Michael Porter Jr. find his groove because we know the Nuggets are just so deadly when he’s hitting that three ball. And you look at some of the other guys who came in in light of Joic’s off game offensively, if you will. It wasn’t just Porter. Jamal Murray finished with 27 points, leading the way for the Nuggets. Nine of 19 from the field. Gordon had 22 points. He was 46 from three, including that big three late to bring this game essentially into overtime. As you look at Joic, he still finished with 20 points and 16 rebounds and six assists because that’s what historically great players do. They’re always going to find a way to impact the game even when they’re not shooting it well. But he shot just eight of 25 from the field including 0 of 10 from three. And of course he had a chance there at the end in regulation to win it. I thought it was going in but he missed that. But the Nuggets they were able to overcome those Yic struggles and it was a hot shooting night from three 16 of 40 40% which of course was led by Porter. So that really helped the Nuggets overcome Joic’s off game with his shooting. And that’s so big because Joic is not going to shoot like this again in this series. I don’t see it like he had his off game from shooting and the Nuggets are still able to win. if he is playing like Nicole Joic is capable of playing and this supporting cast can resemble what they look like in this one like you can see why Denver I think is in the driver’s seat right now when it comes to taking control of this series game three was pivotal and Denver able to pull it through and you know you look at Gordon too he deserves a lot of credit he has been super valuable and consistently valuable for this Nuggets team. You talk about the up and downs with like Michael Porter Jr., even Jamal Murray. Gordon has been that secondary option, consistent secondary option these playoffs alongside Joic and that three to force OT of course following his gamewinning shot in game one and then of course the game-winning dunk against Los Angeles in game four which really turned the series around. Gordon has been clutch and that has been the theme of these playoffs. Clutch Gordon is a thing and you better believe that shot was going down when he shot it with the way these playoffs have gone for him. And he said back on October 11th, I’m doing whatever I can to get Russ a ring. And that is aging pretty well right now because Gordon is literally coming up big time and time again. And another big takeaway in closing here is that to me the Thunder Shay Gilg Alexander who did not have a good game either. It was funny the two MVP front runners both did not have good games from the field but the Thunder and SGA look very vulnerable to me. This is a team that I always thought was overrated. Yeah, they dominated the regular season. Yeah, they’ve had some big playoff wins. that Grizzlies win in the first round. Of course, the 43 point win over the Nuggets, but at the core basis of it, we’re seeing that this team’s got some weaknesses and they don’t look like that super tough team to beat, that almighty team that is invincible. And you know, Gil Alexander, he repeatedly took contested mid-range shots and he wasn’t getting to go. And you know, the OKC Thunder offense, I know Jaylen Williams had a big game, but it just did not look good when push came to shove. Like when the game was at its highest in that overtime, it’s like they had no answer for the Nuggets when they made that mini run to begin the overtime frame. Their offense felt like a chore down the stretch. And it’s like if Shay’s not shooting it well, they got no flow. They got no rhythm whatsoever. The Thunder, they did win the rebounding battle, the turnover battle, and they did have 19 more field goal attempts than the Nuggets. And of course, Williams, he went off, he had 32, and they still lost this game. So, I think that’s very concerning from the OKC Thunder side is that you had a lot of things go well, and you still ended up losing this game. And you look at these two teams, I’m taking Denver’s core all day because this is a core that’s got former champions. They know what it takes to come up in big game situations. And we really saw that in that overtime frame. They know how to win. They come up big in important moments. And that was the biggest difference when watching these two teams play with these high stakes. OKC did not execute. They did not look good with their offense. Meanwhile, the Nuggets, they knew how to execute and they looked great down the stretch. They put away OKC quickly in that OT. And I think that’s the biggest difference when comparing these two teams. The Nuggets have that championship edge, that experience that goes a long way in a series like this because the talent is right there. Both these teams are extremely talented, but it’s the little things like experience, like coming up in big moments that decides a big series like this. So, still a long way to go, but the Nuggets 2-1. They have an excellent opportunity in my opinion to take a strangleole 3-1 lead. We’ll see how they come out and we’ll see how OKC responds. Shay was smiling there at the end laughing whatever it was. So, we’ll see what he has in store for a game four. But let me know your thoughts, guys. And Nuggets fans, how you feeling after this one. 1. Everyone had the clippers beating the nuggets. Everyone has thunder winning it all. Experience MATTERS down the stretch of game 1 and 3 you can see the inexperience of the thunder. Lots of isolation plays without the key players touching the ball and poor decision making in clutch time. This series is far from over but there’s a huge difference between the regular season and the playoffs and everyone seems to forget that this time of year

  2. Russell Westbrook is averaging 14.2 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 3.1 assists in the 2025 NBA Playoffs. He’s shooting 44.4% from the field and 36.4% from three. In Game 1 vs. OKC, he scored 18 points and made the game-winning assist. Off the bench, Westbrook adds energy, speed, and leadership. He’s also averaging 1.2 steals, showing strong defensive effort. His experience and clutch play have become key pieces in Denver’s push for another championship.

  3. You are literally the ONLY person that I have heard say they think the Nuggets will win this series. Why is it so crazy to think that they could actually win this thing??? Y'all saw 2023 right? You guys have been watching Jok for a while? Well then…WTF?🤷

  4. It’ll be interesting to see how the Thunder react in game 4. If it’s close coming down the stretch again, it’s gotta be in their heads a little bit 😂😂. And I’m sure Russ is going to be reminding them 😂😂😂
