Ian Rapoport believes Bengals will resolve Trey’s contract situation
May 12, 2025
Basically Ian said he believes the Bengals will pay. They are just taking the same approach with Chase and Higgins.

I hope so, it just sucks we have go through all this every time we need to extend a star
Hope not. Tee and Jamarr are 26 and 25 years old respectively. It should be a very different approach
Maybe they will, maybe they won’t. The only thing I know for sure is that the FO and Trey’s agent will both do a few more things that make them look completely incompetent before this is all said and done.
Honestly, he isn’t in a good negotiating position, and he knows it, so he is trying to win the public sentiment to get more of what he wants. It kind of irks me, to be honest. Let your agent do the work, or don’t sign shoddy deals?
well there you go. Some dude believes it. Why are the Bengals even wasting time now?
Does he also believe the Bengals won’t try to lowball and screw Stewart?
Wait but according to Florio, Trey is holding out, the Bengals are offering Stewart $9.25/hour with no healthcare, and the rest of the team is literally walking out and won’t be playing this year.
Who should I believe?
I’d certainly hope so considering he’s their only proven pass rusher.
This narrative of Bengals in a bad spot is spreading like fire. Granted, our FO has the history to sell that narrative, but Trey and his agent are really SOL right now.
Out of all the silly shit Cincy has done this actually isn’t one of them. And I’m kinda tired of arguing with people that have no actual knowledge of the situation.
