Why the Yankees are better off without Juan Soto? #shorts

I think this could be like a little bit for Yankee fans like booing Altuve where they might just be sitting there and regretting it. But if I were trying to broker peace in our times, I would say that I think this turned out right for New York baseball that Sodto went to a place where the ownership has the financial willingness to navigate around his salary and do what’s necessary. Clearly, House Stein Brener was not going to do that. And if the Yankees signed Juan Sodto, they would not have signed Max Freed. And I think at least at this moment, you would say that the 2025 Yankees would be worse with Sodto, but without Fre, because of what happened is they lost Cole. And while the Yankees probably would have scored a ton, they’re leading the major leagues in scoring without Sodto.

  1. Hal was willing to do so. He went to the very end of the bidding war. He was just not willing to go the extreme extent. And I agree with him.
