Shawn Armstrong hold that L buddy
Man if we can manage a league average offense for majority of games we’ll be in business! Also the last Friday game we won was in the giants series.. Fridays been rough

Bochy mismanaged a regressing pen, which is ultimately why they lost. The offense has been largely good since firing Eckler, but when they’re bad, my god are they still awful.
Over 50% of our outs were flyouts. Almost a third of them on the infield.
Love 2023 Marcus Semien. He won us a WS and I’ll forever be grateful. We won’t win another one with him as an everyday 2nd baseman.

All we can do is go to the next one and hope things go our way. I really hope after this IL stint Seager is healthy for the long term this season. We need his bat.
Weird bullpen moves from Bochy tonight. It seems like he was trying his hardest to avoid having to use Martin and Jackson, even though they’re supposedly available. We’ve got to get that situation figured out. If they can pitch, we should use them. If they can’t, they really need to go on the IL. We can’t afford to play 2 men down in the bullpen.
EDIT: [Ok apparently Jackson was not available](https://x.com/JeffWilsonTXR/status/1923578499375431846)
This might be a hot take, but I don’t think Bochy is having his best year. There have been some questionable decisions—ones he’s even admitted were mistakes—like pitching to Bregman with a lefty in a game-deciding moment instead of facing Campbell. He’s also kept Joc in the 3-hole far too often despite underwhelming results. On top of that, there have been some puzzling personnel moves—pulling pitchers too early or using the wrong arms in high-leverage situations that just don’t make sense.

Doomers aren’t going to like this, but
– a bad outing from an overworked reliever doesn’t make a bad reliever
– a high ERA in a small sample size for an opposing pitcher doesn’t mean offense will come easy. McCullers was decent
– it’s just one game
Ugly Military hats ruined our Peagle power smh
We can’t win them all. I didn’t expect to sweep the Astros, things are looking up overall though imo.
I’d rather lose to a team of legally blind quadriplegics than to the Astros. Fucking ANYBODY else.
Hate to waste a quality start but will hit the field tomorrow.
Can’t even win 7 straight games… pft
Real talk has to be happening with Cy about what to do with Marcus right? Last time I felt like real hard talks needed to be happening, next day fired Ecker.
They put Burger in a time out and it did him wonders. I know I know Semien and Joc are different blah. Different in the fact we pay them millions on millions and are then stuck with them?!
WHAT ARE REAL OPTIONS WITH SEMIEN? please someone enlighten me.

We move on 116 more to go
Weird pen decisions? Sure.
But playing pretend with 1 and 2 runs a game has got to fuckin stop.
Maybe Semien could of took a pitch off the elbow and played it off as way worse and took a trip down for awhile to get his shit together.
Yeah that sucked. Armstrong blew the entire game in one inning.
