Cincinnati Reds Manager Terry Francona Orchestrated a Masterclass in Win over Cleveland Guardians

Your Cincinnati Reds have won three straight ball games after a well-pitched bullpin game on Saturday. What’s up? This is Jeff Car from the Lockdown Reds podcast and Terry Franona putting on a masterclass of managing on Saturday, choosing to switch from the rookie Chase Petty who was slated to start a couple of days ago and he went with a bullpin day starting Brent Sudter just hoping to get a couple of innings out of him. Hopefully six outs. He got nine outs, three beautiful innings from Brent Sudter and overall just a masterclass of managing this bullpen game. Lion Richardson gets you a couple of good innings and you get to the A squad in the bullpen. Graham Ashcraft, Tony Santiana, Amelio Pagan with very limited damage. I was very happy to see how the Reds bullpen managed this ball game and that’s what the story was. Will Benson with a homer. Reese Hines with a homer. But Terry Franona managing this bullpen beautifully. Chance for a sweep on Sunday and chance for four straight wins.

  1. I was praying that he would not pitch Chase Petty! He just isn’t ready yet. They are just getting on a roll….. Petty would have killed it.
