MLB Highlights | Tigers vs. Blue Jays – May 18, 2025

ble to hold that Tigers offense down. This one in the air to right center and Varo is there. Take a look at the Blue Jays defense. Swinging him is got him to chase a fast ball well off the plate for out number two. And a high drive to right center field. Vario racing back. He’s got to play it off the wall. And two runs are going to come in on a long double by Torlson as the Tigers have the early lead. Sends a fly ball to left field. Well struck and caught. The runners are hustling back to their bases and they will get there. And out in that left field, you can see him jump high on the wall and pulls it down. They clearly caught that ball. What an in yesterday’s game. He’ll line one to left and Boo has done it again. And they will double off [Applause] Bett. Well hit ball to deep left field and off the wall. Dingler on his way to second and in there with a ringing double. Has really improved on. He’s not chasing a lot of borderline pitches. Change up. Boy, a nasty mix there from Job in that at bat to Barger. Two down. This time he gets jammed on a ground ball to short and the Blue Jays will turn two with ease to the bottom of the third. [Applause] And then a swing and a miss on a fast ball in. Job strikes out to Bette through three. It is two to nothing Tigers. In 2023, they dropped him out of that fourth spot. He’s going to fight it off and drop it down the line for a base hit and Guerrero’s going to third and Baros’s into second. A bouncer in the hole and through. Guerrero will score. Baro had to make sure it was going to get through, so he’ll stop at third. An RBI single for Kirk, but it won’t happen here in this bat. Santand Deere strikes out for out number one. There it is. Lines it into left field. Another big hit for Clement. Varo in to score and it’s a two- two tie. Well, any players, they’ve lost all three of their center fielders to start the season. Riley Green hits one on a line to right field. Racing over and up with it is Lucas and he knows his one job. Get it back in quickly. So, Glaver Torres stops at third and Lucas does that. The two- two got him swung over the top of a change up. A big out in a big spot for Jose Bios. Let’s get an update now with Jamie Campbell on a Bette. There he goes. Class A running. The pitch is ball three. And in there rather easily is class A. Boy, he’s got tremendous acceleration. I ahead of Bayz one and two. and he got him. An elevated fast ball to strike him out. Bayz for three on the afternoon. Worked very hard to get to the point where he’s at right now, but he takes strike three here on the outside corner. A very good inning for Job. And at the end of six, these two teams are still all tied [Music] up to center field and it’s down for a base hit. Torres is around third will come in to score. They will get the runner at third to retire the side, but the Tigers get the go-ahead run. A slider from Fischer that got more of the plate and the Tigers have taken the lead, but not here. There’s a sweeper by Herder to get him. Vo strikes out and the Blue Jays leave a couple of men on. 3-2 Tigers at the end of seven. Runner goes swinging a miss. Throw down and safe at second is Badu. And a bouncer to second. And the Tigers win it. Three one-run games here this weekend at the Rogers Center. But the Tigers with the best record in baseball, they come up on the right end of things, two out of three, and dropped the Blue Jays two games below 500. Yeah. Then the Jays now are four and eight in one run games. And the pitching did another pretty good job, but the Blue Jays managed just two runs on seven hits. Well, the Tigers out hit them 11 to seven. Tensor Torerson was a difference in this game today. He drove in all three of the tagger runs and they take two of three from the Blue Jays.

Spencer Torkelson’s 7th inning go-ahead RBI single proved to be the difference maker as the Detroit Tigers topped the Toronto Blue Jays 3-2 to take the game and the series.

  1. Mon petit ami a essayé de me surprendre avec un petit déjeuner au lit. C'était sympa jusqu'à ce que je découvre qu'il avait utilisé les derniers grains de café. Ne touchez pas à la réserve de caféine d'une femme🍭

  3. In every professional sporthere are people that play the sport that are KEY to the success and/or Failure of that sport. There is no such thing as we win as a team and loses a team. An individual can make you win or make you lose, this is fact. The Toronto Blue Jays are a horrible baseball team. They have been losing for years and years. And it's all because of the one particular position on the team pitching Their pitching is awful has been so for many, many years. They could have 500 pictures on the team. And they still can't win. They will always be a bad team because they do not know how to search for Good pitching.
