AK/EL, great podcast, loving the Smash cuts/edits before venturing into "Fake Trade Tuesday" lol…I could see working journalistic skepticism on EL's face (no problems EL I get it–that's another story). Ann you chopped this up like my granny's smoked brisket. Listen ladies, you are not wrong, you are venturing into the dark side of fans best and worst instincts. Would we love Dawson Mercer? Heck yeah? Is it possible? Meh–I don't know. I respect ya'lls positions and your approach—this is grounded in fact and reporting and not rumor. Here is the thing–I've always thought that in sports (and sometimes life) you sometimes need to expect the unexpected. You don't build teams via video games and AI—put player rating 99 with such and such and trade multiple picks for franchise 1C. It's very hard to cover sports in a sense for journalists because this is real time hard to talk to fans about—"YES WE LOVE DAWSON MERCER BUT NO WE AREN'T SURE IF IT'S REALISTIC"—fans be like "YEAH LETS TRADE EVERYTHING FOR HIM—WAIT WHAT? NO? WELL YOU ALL ARE SUNSHINE PUMPERS". Fine line to walk for not just you two but journalists that cover insert whatever teams beat. Consequently, you all get flak, BUT you can only report what you report and it's not rumor. It's an interesting cycle but as a fan—heck love the discussion, makes sports fun for me for sure!
I believe it is pretty evident that Barry got to try fix our center-problem. Of our bluechips, Marchy stands out to me. No trade protection, was honest about struggling with Bruno. I registered a lot of interest in him in the last trade window in march.
ROR ‘wants to finish this project in Nashville’ so he aint going anywhere unless like Emma said somebody overpays substantially.
I would still like to talk to Ducks regarding Zegras.
Maybe he can revamp his game here. Not sure Marchy wants to go to such a franchise, so maybe a 3-way deal is needed.

Nashville has too many young forwards as it is. If Nashville is trading for anyone in New Jersey, it should be Simon Nemec while his value is at the lowest
Nemec and Mercer for Marchessault and Lauzon.
