Not a Giants fan, but I’ll always love Odell. Sad to hear he might retire.

  1. He was dynamic before the injuries caught up to him. I drafted him with one of my last picks in my fantasy draft knowing he’d be out for a few weeks. He ended up carrying me to a fantasy title. lol.

Either way the dividends of OBJ are still paying off with Sexy Dexy.

  2. I think when players who are cooked retire, instead of trying to hang on and perhaps get seriously injured, it’s a good thing.

  3. He won a ring, had one of the greatest catches of all time, 10 year career, sucks he had to leave but awesome player, i wouldnt mind the GMEN taking him back for 3rd down situations now that he’s a lot less hot headed

  4. My son’s middle name is Beckham after him, born 2 seasons before the trade. Dude was dynamic. I never was concerned with his on field “antics” as they were minor in comparison to other “diva” wide receivers. Only thing I can never forgive him for is discounting Eli Manning as a great QB, and seeming to prefer Baker Mayfield (which really did not work out for him).

  5. Father Time is undefeated. Only reason I rooted for the Rams against the Bengals was to see him get a ring (among the several others on that team that deserved a ring).

  6. I remember I stopped watching Giants games for a period because I can’t take the stress of work and stress of watching my team suck. But OBJ at least made the games entertaining enough to watch. That boat trip though…lol Glad he got his ring

  7. The hype was real when he was playing well with us. It’s back with Nabers. Insane catching ability they both have

  8. Prime Odell really kept the team competitive, Eli literally just had to put the ball anywhere near him and he’d take care of the rest. Sad that injuries derailed him and started taking the stereotypical diva WR shtick a bit too far at times, but our offense was so much more fun with him

  9. He’s why I worry about Nabers. Just like with Saquon, we developed a great player, and he ends up successful somewhere else.

  10. Hearing that he was traded was the closest experience i can think of that to what the Mavs must have felt when Luka got traded. Absolute gut punch.

I know it worked out for us in the long run but if he had turned into his full potential some where else I wouldve been so mad. He electrified the fandom when he started.

  11. He gonna be one of these dudes who doesn’t make the HOF but everyone who watched him will know he was THAT DUDE.

  12. One of my favorite giants players and will always be a Giant in my book. Glad we had him in those prime years

  13. I really really wish we got to see Odell and Saquon play more than 12 games together. I get why the trade happened and thankful for Dexter, but oh man that would have been fun if our team was in a good place.

  14. Great player, shame he had to bash Eli on the way out. Don’t know if I forgive him for that.

  15. One of the biggest disappointments was not having prime OBJ and Victor Cruz together.

  16. 2016 OBJ was the best receiver I’ve ever watched im sorry. No other receiver I’ve seen has had the playmaking ability he has. Streaks down the sideline? Sure all the best receivers can do that, but that mf was routinely taking 60+ yard slants to the house in critical moments of the game and pretty much won us every single game that year. IMO he had a case for MVP. We went 11-5 without him we don’t win more than 3 games.

  17. Loved Odell but he sold in 2016 playoffs wasting a Playoff Eli performance

  18. HOF talent wasted by immaturity and injuries. Will always be a Giants GOAT at receiving but he could’ve been so much more

  19. That hit changed him forever, I remember him telling McVay he ready to ride to the wheels fall off.

  20. He was so good. We should have done so much more with him.

I think back to when we traded him. I was 100% in favor of it. And I was so wrong. When he was gone our offense lost all hope. There are so many bad decisions that kept us in the cellar all these years but I’d say it started when we traded Beckham.

That said I wanted Aaron Donald on draft day lol

  21. i am and he was another great athlete that could not stay out of his own way if he had half tbe drive of Jerry Rice he could have been one of the best. The Giants need new leaders starting with those sitting in tne C suites!

  22. I was happy when we traded him. He was a losing player. Just about my least favorite giant of all time. But I wish him well in retirement.
