Best Plays from Every Philadelphia Eagles Season
Third and six for Philadelphia. Herz has time now. Locates Barkley out of the back field. Barkley slips two tackles and picks up the first down. Tripping up in the air to the 30. A gain of 14 for Barkley. Was that not the best 14 yd gain you’ve seen all season long. The amount of moves right here. Makes the first guy miss. The spin move at the last second and then what? Tik Tok, bro. What is that, bro? 40 seconds to go. Herz firing for the end zone and a one-handed attempt. Oh my goodness. AJ Brown with an amazing touchdown. Thought he was going to throw the flat right here to Zakius. And look at the hands attack the ball in the air. Just the right hand. Bring it back into the body. Snatch it out of the air. Oh goodness. It’s Herz. It’s a deep ball looking for Devonte Smith. What a catch inside the five. Look at the concentration. Track the ball in the air. Go up. High pointed between two defenders. Big third down. Herds keeps. Herds cuts. Herds has the first down. And Jaylen Herds might have just put it away for the Eagles. Touchdown. His third of the day. Well, when my athletes better than your athlete that’s surfing, guess what? It’s time to go to the beach because I’m gone. Stick my foot in the ground and roll. Jaylen Herz breaking angles of Granderson right there. Forget about it. The New York Giants rooting for Carolina and Dallas following their loss in Baltimore. Herz on first down, fires downfield. It’s Deshaawn Jackson back in the lineup. Missed the last seven games and he will take it 81 yds of somersault into the end zone. His first touchdown of the season. Deshawn Jackson, you know, has always been deceptive. He’s always been deceptive with his speed and he is literally just pulling away from Chinabuzier and there is no one that’s going to catch him. I think he needs to trademark this. I love it because he’ll be in the lead again one day. Went rolling right and throws and is it intercepted or a touchdown? It’s caught in the back of the end zone by Sanders. How in the world wins getting that ball along the sideline now. It’s just a beautifully thrown ball. I mean, where his guy or no guy, I I mean that that might have been one of the best balls that I’ve seen all year to be honest with you. Here as the Eagles take over at the 17. Fos steps up. Fos delivers deep one. One-on-one. It’s caught and galore by by touchdown Eagles. And this is a thing of beauty. High arching, stepping up in the pocket, letting it go for all he’s got. Gets behind Matthew and see you later. Fourth and goal. And they’re going to snap it and it’s Trey Burton who throws caught. Foss touchdown. How do you figure his shotgun? He would not have been eligible but for the fact he was in the shotgun, not under center. And there’s the old basketball player. They talk about Nick Fos. He’s more comfortable playing quarterback like a point guard. And here he is receiving the pass that is going to be shown a billion times. Here’s third and eight. Oh, he sidesteps one Steeler defender and finds Sprouls. Sprouls cuts back to the middle. No one will be Well, yes. Hold on a minute. Sprouls wiggles twice and yes, he takes it home for the touchdown. Nobody open. Breaks the pocket and he knows he’s not going to run for the first down. So, he goes along the line of scrimmage and what a good adjustment by Sprouls. Look at that twice. trips to the left. Amandola Chandler and Kan Mike and Brady has it intercepted and that’s Malcolm Jenkins on his feet to the 20. The 25 crossing midfield. Malcolm Jenkins will go the distance for a touchdown. No penalty flags on the field. And don’t look now. The Eagles lead for the first time in his game. Tennessee will kick it away. Number 11, Josh Huff is deep for the Eagles. And we are underway at Lincoln Financial Field. Will run this one out of the end zone to the 20. And here he goes up the sideline. Huff. Can he outrun the last tackler? He will. Touchdown Eagles. Smith in the game. I think for the first time for Philadelphia, but they give to McCoy. Big hole and a move. McCoy through the snow. Touchdown. What a run it was. Watch Lean McCoy. He’s going to hide in there. Now come out and hurdle. Delmas the free safety and take it to the house for the Philadelphia Eagles where it’s third down and 17. And here comes everybody. BS has to get rid of it in a hurry. And onehanded catch is made by Jason Avant. One of the big circus catches of the year for 20. Unbelievable catch by Jason Avant. The left elbows down. That’s going to be a catch. And what a wonderful run it is. Sacks over the pit course of a season. Jamal Westerman with the hit. Here’s McCoy. Beautiful cut back. McCoy touchdown. Jeremy Mlin with a terrific block. And Leon McCoy goes 33 yds for his third touchdown of the day. Not returned one for a touchdown this year with weights. And it’s a line drive kick. Jackson bobbles it. and now has to try and recover. Deshawn Jackson gets a block. Are you kidding? Deshawn Jackson still not in and now in for the touchdown. No flags. Unbelievable. Almost 16 yds of return and leading the league in punt return average. And this is Spiegel’s kick off the side of his foot. field to 29 and Jackson after circling back comes down the sideline and Fagles can’t knock him out of bounds and he will go all the way for a touchdown. Another blitz from the Eagles and knocked out of the hand by Dawkins. Fumble by Romo down the field. Clemens a stiff arm and a touchdown. Mad gives the ball on breaks. Rolls. He’s correcting traffic. He runs. He’s across the 40. 4550. Cut back at the 40. 30. Dolan’s loose. It is rolling around and it is in the end zone and I think it’s recovered by the Eagles. It’s a touchdown. As you said, he directed traffic. He gets a good block down the field and then off to the races, but he gets caught from behind by Josh Bullock. And Bullet goes for the football, gets a football out, but fortunately Kevin Curtis falls on the ball. This opportunity second and goal. Bledo into the end zone and he’s picked off. Back the other way. Leo Shepard all alone. The Philadelphia Eagles take it over Dallas. Another 40 yd attempt and it’s blocked and picked up. This will go all the way Matt Wear Matt Wear touchdown. Let’s take a look at it right here. It’s number 27 Michael Quinton who does the dirty work and then Matt Wear gets the glory. And wow, what a turnaround here in Philadelphia. Fourman rush. And then coming through at the last moment, but escaping. McNab rolling to the outside. Coming back this way. Has a lot of room. Is going to launch one. He was behind the line of scrimmage. And that is Freddy Mitchell making the catch. That is amazing. now trying to stop a fourth and 26 and in essence take over. Plenty of time down the middle. It’s Mitchell. Where will they spot him? They’re going to get forward progress and a first down. I am so surprised. He’s a guy that the last guy you think of would be a professional athlete when you see Here’s a fake. Don, look at this. The Eagles on the run. One man to beat. The block is there and Dawkins flying into the end zone. And so Andy Reed, a master at trick plays, and it’s picked off by David Moore. David Moore will take it to the house on the 21 yd line. And here is McNav going around Bruce Smith who misses him. McNav with a great fake gets to the 5 yd line and scores. What a run by McNav. Why? because you’re keying on one Kirby in Cleveland. You know, you’re relying on one good guy. Peterson was under pressure. He completes it to Torren Small being chased by Cory Whitmer. Small is in. [Applause] Touchdown. There’s a flag on the field, but that’s going to be pass interference against Jason Seahhorn. This touchdown’s going to stand. Graham from the shotgun. And the pass deflected and then picked off by Brian Cawkins. Drawkins across the 30. Finally upended by TP Barber. Only the fourth interception of the season by the Eagles. Second down and four. Lordell Stewart searching somebody out. Takes a look. Lets her go long. He’s got a man way out there and it is intercepted. What a play. What a play. He’s going to get a good hit on uh on Stewart right here. He’s coming right up the middle and he gets a shot on Stewart. Stewart’s going for the zone. Makes a pretty nice throw, but Matt Stevens makes an absolutely fabulous interception. Eagles need one more great defensive play. Aman’s going to throw it if he has time. picked off the end zone by Willis. Willis laterals to William Thomas. This is Thomas. Troy Vincent down with the ball and Vincent will stroll into the end zone. EMTT Smith deep back. West Smith gets a carry. He doesn’t make it. No, that’s a bad call. You can’t do that. That look at the Eagles. They know that call could have won the Eagles this game. They’re field goal range right now. Right now. And then all they have to do is run that clock down. Now they’re saying maybe the two-minute warning ran out. It’s still a foot. Emit Smith is still deep with Daryl Johnston in front of him. Same play. Didn’t get it again. Didn’t get it again. That’s unbelievable. Good shape. They lead 7 nothing already. It’s first and 10 at the 49er 29. That’s Garner. And he can make some things happen. Danny, his second touchdown of the day. Charlie Garner from 29 yds away. A little crack that they give for Garner. And then he does the rest. Boom. There’s one cross. Boom. There’s the other cross. Look at that hole there. Now you get a block on Hanks. A missed tackle by Eric Davis. A missed tackle by Tim McDonald. And that’s some pretty good running by Charlie Garner. What a game in Dallas. I remember I’ve seen a lot more than that. No, I’ve never seen it where it goes all the way down. Size and fake is a good one. His pass is not picked off by Eric Allen. Allen still spinning, still finding room. And Allen comes out of the pack. Eric Allen still on his feet. Eric Allen at the 40. Allen is going to go all the way. Eric Allen steps into the end zone and the Eagles are ahead from 94 yds away. Third and 10. They might be just a little far for a field goal if they don’t pick up a few yards here. Cunningham going deep. Touchdown Fred Barnett. A diving catch. Spectacular catch from 35 yds away. There’s a fiveman rush and a gel ball and in the end zone a fumble and it’s recovered for a touchdown by Clyde Simmons. After Seth Joiner had come in unmolested to force the fumble. Watch number 55. No one even touches Joiner. He smothers Galba and the ball pops free and Clyde Simmons is there for the gravy as he picks up the fumble for a seven-pointer. It’s not outside the realm of foot. Here comes Smith. There’s Cunningham. Dodges left and puts it way downfield for Fred Barnett who has the catch and the race is on. There are no flags. A 95 yd touchdown. Cunningham will be looking at the rush almost immediately. He knows where he is on the football field. And then just watch his escape ability. [Music] How does Smith miss him there with a left hand? And now his eyes go downfield looking for his receiver and Barnett is way down there. He throws this ball again into the wind about 60 yds. There’s the alleyoop. Jamie Williams can’t make the play and then that world class of Barnett. It’s all over. The Eagles are in the end zone. Two-minute warning coming shortly. Cunningham up the middle and he’s going to score. Randle Cunningham likes to get down here and spread out the defense and then look and look and then if there’s nothing there and you see a lane, you pump the ball. Now watch this move. I mean, he got up in the air going over on his back or cart. Show him that agility. That’s something special right there. Jimmy Giles, the receiver, Cunningham, by all rights, hit by Carl Banks. He can’t have been down. He maintained his balance. We talked about his athleticism and he fires in the corner. Beautifully accated roll [Applause]

Freddie Mitchell….the self proclaimed People’s Champ thanking his hands was a classic! 😂😂😂😂
7:01 ts was crazy
7:07 my dad was at a bar watching this game in ny city with all Giants fans. 😂😂
( me and my dad are eagles fans)
I love Philly so much who agrees?
Stopped at 10:45. I’m young so I pretend the Eagles didn’t exist before 2000 🦅🦅😂
I never realized how many of our games that Sumerall & Madden did. 👍🏾
As yes, I remember the Sanchez years.
They Forget Michael Vick Deep Bomb To DeSean Jackson
The last play Cunningham to Giles is my first memory of Eagles Football. I snuck out of bed and sat at the top of the stairs to watch as my parents watched that game on TV. I'm fairly certain they knew I was there and just didn't bother to shoo me back to bed.
Randall Cunningham behind the present Oline of the Eagles would be litterally unstoppable. Cunningham is Lamar Jackson with a stronger arm.
I feel like the dagger or pick six should have been 2024s
Man the only way things will get better is if I get to go back and see all the pretty girls I used to know over the years…
14:44 un WHAT😂😂
⛑️⛑️⛑️⛑️🩶
BG strip sack better than the Philly Special. Fight me
I'm sorry but the backwards hurdle has NOTHING on the dagger or the Coop pick 6.
I love to watch Randall throw. He made it look effortless to throw 60 yards.
30 seconds in and there’s already a mistake, Jake hitting a 58 yard fg in a hurricane to send the game to ot was the best play in 2023
Ajb was pretty sick too though
I watched every one of these plays live dating back to 2010. The nostalgia 😭
1999 Shout out to Dougie P
