Trae tweeted about Pascal balling a minute ago also lol. Sorry, but all the reports said he wasn’t going to re-sign with us. You can’t give up anything for a player than can walk in 5 months for nothing.
Maybe I’m a complete fucking idiot, but I have to ask. Am I the only person who thinks we weren’t a Siakam away from contention?
And all this because we didn’t want to give up Bufkins bum clown ass 🤬🤬
I don’t like all this posturing about a guy who we “should’ve” got, it talks down on the guys we have. Like if you’re JJ how are you supposed to feel about this?
Hawks would’ve still been mid. Trae Young is not a chip level lead dog
I think we pay a little too much attention to Trae’s dad’s opinions.
Hawks fans forever have been convinced that every prospect they have is one year away from being a star and can’t be traded and there’s nothing anyone(Ray included) can say to change their mind. There was a time trading AJ Griffin would’ve been this subs 9/11 despite his impossibly hot start that fizzled out before his rookie year was even over
Siakam flat out did not want to play with Trae. For a very good reason lol

Putting the re-signing aside, this sub was acting like Siakam was straight garbage back then. And also Turner and Hali LOL. They’re in the Finals now.
Even if he did re-sign (which he was reportedly adamant about not doing), going all-in on Trae/DJ/Siakam would’ve been a return to those Hawks that were hard capped by the 2nd round.
I wish he wasn’t such an ass about coming here man , would’ve been a home run considering we wouldn’t have game up much , dre – gone , aj – retired , Kobe – injured to he’ll & probably kings pick … and if things went correctly still could’ve got Dyson .. man
But also on the flip side we probably never would have got to see Jalen potential.. still again not the worst thing in the world
