Dodgers postgame: Tanner Scott reacts to borderline Manny Machado strikeout
[Music] just to go back out there and face your former team you’ve been a part of this matchup on the other side to be now on Dodgers side can you describe what it was like being out there the intensity of this one uh it was just another game i mean I I take every game the same way and I mean it was my former team so be it yeah but to just close this out and what you did what was working so well and feeling that moment was uh really good defense so I mean that was huge and then I mean we got a really good lineup and a really good staff so it’s uh it’s been fun what was that battle with with Manny what were you trying to do with that last pitch to strike uh I was I was trying to strike him out with it and luckily it worked out in my favor i don’t have any trying to back door uh if that’s what you want to think of like being on both side or playing for both these teams recently like do these games kind of carry an added importance to you or even just a heightened intensity like when you’re going through the day or being out there you know the kind of crowds they get that sort of uh I mean definitely I mean it’s our it’s our rival I mean any any team that plays a rival there’s always a little added intensity and uh yeah we got out with the win what was it like for you back here and on the other side i treat everything like a normal game i didn’t really think about it are you still sticking with those cues or you know the adjustment they made of course of course probably bad bad sports
Tanner Scott discussed pitching for both the San Diego Padres and Los Angeles Dodgers in recent seasons, plus the Manny Machado strikeout that appeared to be a missed call.

Controversial? It was a strike. A very finely painted strike, but a strike. Ump actually got the call right on a very close pitch. That's the surprising part.
It was a strike. Every statcast can be looked at now and it hit the zone.
The ump gave Machado a lot of leeway by not ejecting him for shouting in his face for 10 seconds.
Scott Good Job🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Tanner Scott is on the Right side, The winner, even though he’s an ex Padres. Came up with the Win, LA Dodgers baby
It is first time to see his smile!
Those who complain about Tanner Scott not being talkative, I can tell based on his manerisms he's not into people surrounding him. I get he's a professional baseball player but it's different when you're surrounded by a ton of people with cameras and cell phones in your face.
Why is Tanner wearing brown? 🤨🤔🧐
I'd like to hear from Matt and Blake on what it's like interviewing Tanner. I'd be trying hard not to upset him, lol.
Manny is just upset that he got dinged with a throwing error. Of course, he doesn't express that in a healthy way, so he got pissed off at the ump for calling a borderline pitch the other way. He's actually incredibly lucky he wasn't tossed for arguing over a strike call and likely making contact with his helmet, the ump probably didn't want to deal with the Padres bench and manager in the 10th inning telling him over and over that it was "dogshit" or something at the top of their lungs.
This is right up there with the Rockies getting mad at a no-swing call on Teo last year after they gave up a grand salami. Don't try to win games by yelling at the umps, play better ball.
It was a strike on frame, but Machado was going to cry about anything regardless, or exercise violence as he did last season throwing ball at Roberts, once a thug always a thug.
Remember it's Manny Machado who we are talking about. He's not going to be remembered as a class act.
It was a ball ump helping
These reporters are never short on dumb questions.
The pitch was a strike by a hair, but a strike nonetheless. To take that pitch with two strikes, you're obviously rolling the dice.
Looked like a strike to me, the umpire was consistent on borderline pitches Manny is just a crybaby 😆🤣
I am happy we kept Jason Adam and let Scott go. He is overrated AF.
As a Padre fan, here: Manny is just waving Mexican flag in protest of American heritage also known as Integrity..,as strike zone was clearly painted by Robert Ross 🎨😂..,not to mention, so called Friar Faithful soiling Sacredness, through ignorant chants of "—- Sheets" thinking it's cute 😂..,forgetting what happened to New York Mets, when they thought that taking Almighty's name in vain via "OM-" was cute! What's my point? Dodgers #37 may want to cease with the "Throwing/Wasting of Sunflower seeds", while folks are starving in this world..,while Good Lord remains patient 🙏
TANNER “UHHHH” SCOTT!! That’s my closer!! #ITFDB
This is baseball, some balls are called strike, some strikes are called balls. Sometimes you win, sometimes you loose and sometimes it rains.
That was a ball. There were 2 different strike zones all night. If you think it was a strike you don’t know ball.
That guy in the back is all up in Tanners space
Tanner Scott es un asqueroso arrogante, presumido y es re maleta, siempre le pegan unas palizas que bueno que se fue con los dodgers haber cuanto lo aguantan
