  1. Didn’t deserve a W … Left people on base all night and Gio walked four straight

Time for Bello to cook tomorrow

  2. certainly not the most heartbreaking loss, but definitely the most painful game of the season. Just an eyesore from beginning to end.

  3. If Cora doesn’t fall asleep and leave Giolito in for 2 or 3 too many batters, we might have won that game. Oh well, we’ve always known Cora is cheeks with managing a pitching staff, take the good with the bad.

  4. Damn, really a game we should’ve won but as long as it’s not happening more often than not it’ll be okay. Win the damn series tomorrow.

  5. It sucks, but I guess sometimes trash teams get free wins they don’t deserve handed to them. Oh well ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

  6. Awesome Roman hit but just a brutal game overall. Extra innings on the road have been a torture. Hamilton got hosed in the 8th but was absolutely pathetic in his plate appearance

    Get the rubber tomorrow

  7. One of the ugliest games i’ve seen in a while. Giolito entirely incapable of throwing strikes and Cora leaving him out there to die. Hitters whiffing at dozens of pitches, plenty not even close to the zone. David Hamilton.

    Win the series tomorrow

  8. Another winnable game lost because of bullpen mismanagement and an inability to bunt

Really need to come out and win Game 3

  9. The problem isn’t losing. That will happen. San Diego is a good team. The problem is that any manager with half a brain sees that Giolito is struggling way earlier and has someone warming up in case things start going south. We probably don’t give up the go ahead run that inning, and win this in 9. The manager can only do so much to affect the game. But they need to be able to make the right call when they can have an effect.

  10. Frustrating loss, leaving Gio out there too long, but set up well for tomorrow. Taking the series was always the goal.

  11. Not gonna win a lot with the fate of the game riding on david hamilton. WCYD, win the series tomorrow.

  12. Padres only ever have the lead because of 4 consecutive walks and Cora sitting on his hands. So incredibly frustrating.

  13. I always loved Xander. That love is wearing incredibly thin tonight. Fuck you for that push bullshit, Bogey.

  14. David Hamilton’s at bat was a microcosm of this team’s incompetence in extra innings. Fouled 2 bunt attempts and completely missed another.

  15. If you don’t let Giolito walk 4 straight you win this game. What difference would it have made if he had gotten that last out? Matz would’ve been able to pitch the next inning regardless Loss is on Cora. Oh well Padres used up their entire pen so let’s go win the series tomorrow

  16. If they didn’t play the “let’s wait and see” game with the pitcher walking the whole goddamn line-up, they would have won.

  17. Shoutout Roman Anthony for being clutch as fuck once again. This padre team sold the farm to have this deep bullpen so I’m not too upset about this one. Flush it and on to the next

  18. Feel like that ball 4 on Xander is not getting enough attention. Inning could be totally different if the ump doesn’t miss that.
