Stockton Assist Record WON’T Be Broken 🐐

go look up John Stockton each season how many games he played year in year out that’s why he has 15,000 assist 15 which nobody is going to touch 15,000 his durability and his availability is outrageous facts if he was a scorer he will have the scoring record that’s why the guy he was passing it to is top it’s one of those that’s not going to be bro that’s what I’m saying tp3 after play six seven more seasons even to get close average yeah come on man

The Gil’s Arena podcast crew gives John Stockton his flowers. After Chris Paul broke the 2nd all-time list of NBA Assists, Stockton has become a topic of conversation. Chris Paul will never reach his 15,000 assists because of the longevity of Stockton’s career with the Utah Jazz. Kenyon Martin says he would never miss a game. If you look at his career he was playing 80 games every season and getting more assists than anyone ever has or will. Another great inside the NBA commentary from the Gil’s Arena podcast.

Gil’s Arena every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at 11:30am PT / 2:30pm ET.

  1. Stockton feeding Malone made Malone a scoring beast. Without Stockton Malone would be far lower on the list. They made watching the Utah Jazz fun!

  2. Not just longevity. The dude averaged 14 a game multiple years. Even if his career was the same length of games as the other dudes on the list. He would still be #1. Don’t get it twisted

  3. His assist record is not even as impressive as his toughness. Being 6 ft & 175 lb in the most violent era of the NBA, still performing at the highest level and barely missing any games. That is crazy.

  4. This is why I always said karl malone is one of the most overrated players ever. How would he have done with any other point guard?

  5. John Stockton is one of my mount rushmore

    1. Michael Jordan for being the GOAT
    2. John Stockton for leading in 2 major categories
    3. Tim Duncan as the leader of the longest dynasty and the only player to win championship in 3 different decades 90's, 00's, 10's
    4. Stephen Curry for completely changed the game, the greatest influence of the game that literally everybody wants to play like Steph, want shoot like Steph. And he holds 3-point records also

  6. Playing 35 minutes a game he's pound for the best player of all time he was grossly under appreciated if they had cameras on the court then like they do now he was a monster passer

  7. The word Dedication comes to mind. Dont forget that he did that on the same team and under the same coach.. not to mention the competition he faced each season..he wasnt playing against scrubs..

  8. why people don’t give the jazz any credit.. cuz damn jordan took all the light in the 90’s!! which is more credit to jordan that there’s no other names that came out of the 90’s!! i went to a camp and stockton was there, his arms mired so fast you couldn’t see them and he dunked just to prove it, then he made fun of dunking!

  9. It’s because Stockton wasn’t a biotch like today’s players. He played thru injuries, not that he never had them.
