But guess what? Here come the White Socks. Will Robertson a base hit. That’s going to drive in Coulson Montgomery. And then Lamine Sosa will deliver. That’ll score two more. That was in the eighth. Davis Martin, five and a third of two hit, four run. Only two of them were earned. Three Ks, three walk baseball. Iser Taylor Leisure and Vassel finished it up for Vosel. He got his fourth save of the season. For Detroit, Charlie Morton only went three innings, four hits, three runs there. earned two Ks, three walks, and then Holton and Melton and a whole collection of relievers. But Tommy Canley, the ex White Sox pitcher, ex Yankee, he was not good. Twothirds of an inning, three hits, two runs there. Earn and a walk. And there’s your ball game. White Socks win. Player of the game, Lenin Sosa, baby. This guy had a heck of a day today for the Chicago White Socks. And with his performance this year, I think he’s really solidified himself a spot next year somewhere in this lineup. Two for four today with three RBI’s and a home run. Quite the road trip for the Chicago White Sox, who went 6-1 on the trip with a sweep of the Twins and taking 2 of 3 from 1st place Detroit. Lenyn Sosa hit his 20th HR & Davis Martin pitched into the 6th and Mike Vasil recorded his 4th save. Kap says there’s no reason that these young Sox can’t compete in 2026, assuming they spend just a little bit of money. They’ve certainly been a fun watch in the 2nd half.
