I saw yesterday was 14 so after last night’s win should be 13 as of today. Also we win this series vs. mutts and win dodger series it will guarantee a playoff spot. Even if we do beat Mets they would still hold tie breaker.
Ok. Cool. Just win.
How do we feel about a bye? I’d rather keep momentum going than take time off.
We need the bye
Do we have a general scheduling outline from the mlb yet? Im getting married on 04oct.. prime wildcard game 3 or DS game 1 time if we dont have the bye :/
Rooting for maximum chaos on the Wild card bubble. The Giants have been on fire recently. After their current series against Arizona, they are vs. LA, @ AZ, @LA, vs. STL, and vs. COL.
Mets are vs. TX, vs. SD, vs. WAS, @ CHC, and @ MIA.
On the face of it, the Mets have a slightly easier schedule, as the Giants will be playing their arch rivals twice along with two teams they are battling with for playoff positioning. They definitely have the easier finish though.
Mets are playing a team trying to get into the playoffs – much like the Giants are – along with two teams trying to solidify their current positioning and two teams with nothing to play for really, but given how they tend to do against the Marlins… If it comes down to that final series for both them and San Francisco, I say the Giants make it in and the Mets are out.
What’s the number for NY to be knocked out of playoff contention?
