HIGHLIGHTS: LA Kings vs Anaheim Ducks | Golden State Rookie Faceoff
attack. Eite got in behind the defense. I love the poise by Carter George just holding his ground right there out at the edge of the blue paint. Shoulders, chest, back, presenting himself large. Yeah, and what I like. Ducks regain the zone. A chance. Glove saved by Carter George. Procession had the look from the left circle and George comes over to flash the leather and keep this game scoreless with 242 to go in the first. Yeah, the shot by Procession going back against the grain. George is moving to his right and he had to reach back top corner to his left to take away the bid. That’s a big glove save there by George. The procession was wide open near the dot in the left circle and George came over to make sure that one clear back to center. Oto Selene picks up for the Kings. Yeah, real heads up play there by Lombardi to come back door there and try to get to Master Donado. Cohen Zemer fires one home and the LA Kings take the lead one to nothing. Zemer got loose in the duck zone right between the circles and that time no hesitation put it right past Sukanic. Yeah, no hesitation whatsoever. He made himself available. He was in stride when he got the puck and no hesitation in shooting the puck, not allowing the goalender to get set page. Good things happen when you headman the puck. Went from Seline to Green Tree right to Zemer. Zemer, what a shot. Yeah, perfectly placed in now on the right side. Francis knocked it off the backboard. Chance in front. Save made by Carter George. He got it with the left pad. Reflex type to this point of the hockey game. So playing five on five seems to be uh in a good position for you know for the Kings. They’re doing a really good job at manage it couple of times when they’ve had opportunities. Anaheim so far brings it back in. Zemer took a hit. Kept alive by Greenree. Connors leaves it off for Atu Yamson. Now Greenree to the middle. Connor save made rebound. They score. Kenny Connors burries on the power play and the Kings take a two nothing lead with 11/19 left in the second period. The first chance for Connors, he had room and couldn’t get it, but he didn’t miss the second time. Yeah, they moved the puck around cleanly. Connors let that first shot go. It was blocked, but he stayed in the right position. He was able to get his own rebound there and he ends up putting it over to the left of the goalender who was already sprawled out. Paige, first power play goal for the Kings this weekend. And Kenny Connor, he’s a guy that we’ll take another look at it right here. Love that he gets his own rebound, but finding those open lanes. Kenny Connors, he never gives up on the play. But the other day he turned over though to Kenny Connors and he makes no mistake, gets the clear all the way down the ice. Sukanic will play it into his own net. Sukanic puts it in his own goal. And the Kings get a shorthanded goal to go up 3 nothing with 1021 to go in the second period. You’ll take them any way you can get them. And that time everyone smiles on the Kings bench and that’s an unforced error for Anaheim. No doubt about it. Uh but the key is to play in the defensive zone by the Kings. Getting the puck from the walked in front. Good look for Cedarov there on the right circle. Anaheim keeps the rebound under control. 35 seconds to go on the power play and a chance to the slot. They score. Miatavic able to push one from the inside of the left circle past Carter George. The Ducks get a power play goal. It may have been deflected by Tim Washi as my let the shot go. It deflected up and over Carter George. Woolly out of the box. Anaheim on the board. 3-1 Kings with 1808 left. Yeah, definitely with the man advantage. We see Anaheim. There was some traffic around the front of the net. Washi may have got a piece of that puck on Hovind back out to Hughes. Couldn’t handle it near the point, but did get it back on under control for Hovind. And a look to the middle. Save made by Macyver. The rebound is still loose and now Macgyver. Snow angels out and stays on top of the puck. Yeah, that’s a heck of a save there by Macgyver because that one could end the game right there. We’re under two minutes left in hockey. And again, for a goalender who’s been really cold, you might say, hasn’t had a lot of shots at him. Does a great job coming across to his right there, denying that bit. Yeah, just one of those plays where the goalender coming inches away from scoring an empty net goal. But now there’s just one minute left on the clock for Anaheim, who still trails by two. Right. Threw a hit on a man on the near side. It’s turned over and a chance for a hat-tick here. Kenny Connors ends it. Third goal of the afternoon for Kenny Connors. He gets the hattick and the Kings lead it four to one with 48 seconds to go. Yeah, I thought Jared Ray made two outstanding plays in the neutral zone, disrupting the play, not allowing Anah to penetrate. That leads to the goal by Connor as he puts it into the net to complete the trick. Yeah, I wasn’t surprised to see Jared Wright out there
