I don’t think he’s one enough to even speak to me like that or tweet me like that. He’s been to the playoffs three times. I’ve been to the playoffs nine. Nine is more than three. He’s been in the NBA seven years. My first seven years, I didn’t miss the playoffs at all. Interesting. In the Western Conference. Interesting. Right. His rebuttal is probably going to be, “Yeah, you want the main player in the team.” Absolutely right. Well, this is why it’s a team. I’ve talked to people who played in Atlanta. They don’t want to play there. Why? They don’t think he’s a good leader. They don’t think he’s a good teammate. This is not coming from me, [ __ ] This is coming from Joe Blow over here, Trey. You can score all the points you want. You can make all the money you want. You have all the leading assist you want. You can do all that. If you don’t win, that [ __ ] won’t matter. If you don’t win when you’re retired, they’re going to forget your name fast, too. I don’t even think he has the wiggle room to talk about, cuz you not playing hard for an All-Star game. You’re not like you’re playing in the playoffs. The So, what do you think his point is? I don’t know. I think he’s trying to put himself above you. Yeah, I think so. like let us speak like what do you mean okay well let them off who played in the playoffs more than nine years speak to them that was how the beef got started apparently and Trey Young had a response and this has nothing to do with any of the guys legacies and players that I’m about to name because to be honest I didn’t really want to mention anybody’s name in this because this is between me and you play with some some big time players my guy you talk about winning and impact winning and all these things you’ve been on some some some teams with some big time players players. How about I go through a list with these guys? LeBron, Giannis, Kawhi, Leonard, Paul George, Ant-Man, Cat. We not even going to talk about how we celebrate playin wins. I win playing games on the road and I’m ready to get to the playoffs. You win playin games at home and you standing on the scores table acting like it’s a championship. We celebrate wins different, too. But let me get back to these guys. You’ve had some great teammates over these years that you’ve only been able to make the conference finals with because your impact was that strong one time. James Harden, Russell Westbrook, Sweet Lemon Pepper Lou, and Dwight Howard. I can go on and on. Them is just the Hall of Famers that I could just pop on the list right now. Let’s not name some of the guys that I know may have listened to you when they was around you, but the way they act is not the way you you act. even from the young guys who gonna be future Hall of Famers. A guy who just won MVP, a guy who just won a championship. I know he looked up to you as a rookie, but you saw what happened when you left, but this we don’t even need to get into that. Some of them are still adding on to their legacies in the game of basketball. We talking basketball here and one conference finals and one conference finals to show for it. Your impact for winning was very strong, huh? This ain’t no shot again to them guys because I know from being in my shoes. I know how hard it is to win in this league. And to be honest, perennial allstars and guys that make the allstar team 10, 11, 12 times start may start to take that for granted. You may, right? If you if I’mma show up every year and not have to just because just because of my name, right? When you got some guys in there that would die to be all star one time, right? So, I think what he said was fair like questioning like why why don’t and the response was cool. Well, my thing about Trey Young is that I I just think his ego is just heavily overblown. It’s just heavily overblown. He’s a really really good player, but he’s a losing player. He’s not a winning type player. We want to talk about the Eastern Conference Finals. That’s one time. That’s one time. Talk about the last four seasons since that. First round exit. First round exit. Didn’t make the playoffs. Didn’t make the playoffs. So, like we talking about we talking about, okay, people may not like Patrick Beverly because he’s opinionated and things like that. He do his job in the NBA. Trey Young, you’re a perennial player. You’re a you know, people think you’re a superstar level player. So, you elevating your team is necessary. Pat Bev is a piece. Pat Bev is a cog. It don’t He’s not making a break in anything for any team. But you are, [ __ ] And as of late, you haven’t. You haven’t. So, I don’t see what with the this this being so enamored by this dude. He’s not a winning player. He’s not a leader. He does nothing to help you win. He’s a bad shot taker. He can’t guard his position. How is he going to help you win? I’m not saying he’s not a good player. That has nothing to do with what I’m saying. I would be dumb to say the guy’s not a great player. He is great, but what is he going to do to help you win? I think we always going to be this the superstar thing, the description. Everybody has their own opinion about it, but the truth of the matter is when you a superstar off the court, that’s what Trey Young does. He brought light to the in MSG. He wasn’t scared to be the new Reggie Miller. if if it was if he was cast to be that. Clearly, he’s not as talented as Reggie Miller. You know, he’s not 66, but I think he does a lot in crunch time. I think he’s one of the best passers, I won’t say, ever, but in the game right now, he’s definitely one of the best passers in the NBA. He can make pass. He don’t pass nobody open. He ain’t doing the hockey assist to get another guy involved. If you open at the at the rim favor, he gonna pass it to you. You can make a layup. He can also kick it out. That’ll make me be a great passer. Luca does the same [ __ ] like and he’s 69. It’s a little Trey 6’2 and he’s doing similar [ __ ] Maybe it’s not exactly the same, but for him to pull that off to say that he’s not whatever. It’s like I get the hype behind him. I agree with you where it’s like he’s not Jaylen Brunson. He’s not the other point guards in this game. No, but superstar-wise, who else is holding it down to to be the face of the team? He’s doing that. So, some guys are tasked to be the superstar of the team and take that on. He was traded for Luka Dungeon, as a matter of fact, and I just forgot. Pat Bev ain’t doing that. People coming to see Trey Young, Ice Trey, rolling them dice on the garden floor. We [ __ ] on a low. We kind of [ __ ] with him. We like his his bravado. We can say what we want about what Pat Beverly said. The main thing that he said is that’s is probably the the truth that everything he said. We will [ __ ] forget you when you retire, [ __ ] We will not be talking about Trey Young when he’s done. We ain’t going to be talking about what he did and how polarizing and what a great God and where does he stack up in the Pantheon great of we will never bring that nigga’s name up again. I think part of the reason why which I want to get to this point because all ball is saying that is because when I listen to Flee I don’t even think that you play basketball and that’s not a disrespect. That’s you’re so good at speaking. I’m not thinking about oh he played ball so he can break the game down for me. No, he’s just giving an opinion and he’s really good at breaking this down. Whatever his opinion is. Pat Bab and Trey Young are not that. Patrick Beverly was never the the top five player in the NBA or any team. He wasn’t. He was kind of dirty. He broke Russell Westbre’s leg. He did a lot of [ __ ] too. So, he used a lot of his these these tricks and antics the same way Draymond does off the court to get attention and to get some money. And if that’s the way you’re going to do it, all right, cool. But please tell me something else besides gossip. I ain’t learn I haven’t learned why you think Trey Young is not the best player on the basketball team. And he should be telling us why instead of me and you. I mean you career role players that are asked to play defense like think about them. You said Pat Beverly. You said Draymond Green. There’s a place for them in the NBA for sure because they know that they’re not the main guy, but they know whatever they doing is helping the team win. When you are one of the main guys or the main guy, there’s a level of responsibility that you that you carry. And right now, you got the Atlanta Hawks looking like dirt. They have recycled and revamped that roster several different times. See, here’s the thing. The evidence is there.
