5. Buck wasn’t wrong with the intent of what he was saying. He said if they don’t hit home runs they don’t win many games and that they have bad defense. That’s not incorrect. Saying “Yankees aren’t a good team” is what people are really hung up on, and that part taken out of context is a little silly since they are a good team, but also kind of unprofessional.

13. I mean listen at that point in time the Yankees couldn’t play well if their life depended on it. Since then they’ve brought in better defense and made internal improvements. We’re still better fundamentally, but they still got plenty of homers. In truth I think the teams are a lot closer then most people would care to admit.
